How do you kill time when you wait for things?

I guess we should make the best of the time when we wait for a train, a person, a movie, etc. When I wait something so badly, it seems that a second changes to an hour! Apparently, the time hasn't been made full use of! Time is so precious, as you know, I shouldn't kill it anyway! Do you wait something anxiously or do you wait as you don't wait? haha

Well one way of "killing the time" when I'm trying to wait for something is to listen to music via ipod...or read a book. I always have those two in my bag.

That's a great idea! I will put my book in my bag next time when I wait in line! Thanks for sharing! Just pay attention to purse when there is a crowd! Don't give an opportunity to the theif! haha

Waiting for something is really very hard. To avoid waiting I try to go to places on the exact time but still sometimes I have to wait. I don't listen to music while I'm outside because it distracts me from paying attention to the road(everyone should avoid it). I just sit and think of something interesting until I have to wait no more.

I just don't like put on earphone. My ears will suffer a lot!If I can play the music out, that's pretty fine!

I crochet or do some other form of needle work while I wait. I make chemo ball caps for kids with cancer too. That keeps me very busy. I take a lot of elderly folks to their doctor appts., so I get a lot of crochet and needle work finished that way. I give it all away too. Shalom~Adoniah

Oh, you make full use of the waiting time! That's great! Also, these people you help are very lucky! Have a great day!

Normally I will just read my books or jotting down notes on my old Nokia phone. I was hoping to get a Blackberry or Nokia E71 so that I can type faster but due to financial constraints, I cannot do that yet. LOL. But yeah, I won't just sit or stand there doing nothing. It's a complete waste of time. I will make sure I go prepared with books, notes, pencil, etc.

hi hiddenwing, There are certain things I do while waiting it depends who that person and if he or she is worthy of my waiting. If I really need to wait I will seat in a corner then using my cellphone I will read the Bible or playing games in it. I have my waiting time limits up to one hour I am sure that is fair enough. Thanks, can you be my friend and add me in your list?

Yeah, absolutely! Sometimes, I also play some phone games! Since I am still a postgraduated student, I guess I should make full use of the waiting time to study. Taking some word notes with me, I can try to recited some next time! It is just my dream! I don't know wether I can realize it. Haha

Usually if I am waiting for something for a while I listen to my ipod or I talk to someone that I haven't for a while on the phone. But another good idea would be that if one is at a bus stop to see if there is anyone inviting to have a conversation with. They might have a lot of things to say. I usually call a friend on the phone and this is a good time to return calls that I have missed when I was busy at work.

When I expect a delay, such as waiting at the airport for a plane, I always take a book to read. However, I just as frequently spend the time conversing with another person who is also waiting than actually reading my book. I used to take some handwork to do while waiting until home security banned needles and scissors in carry on baggage.
