If you could have a Pokemon as a pet what one would you have?

I used to have Pokemon on the Gameboy Advance and i gotta admit for a game aimed at kids its was still quite hard at times and somewhat confusing like getting lost.
It would be awesome to have a Pokemon as a pet but with so many its hard to decide which one would be a good pet.
I myself would have to have Eevee as a pet because of how adorable he is :)
What Pokemon would you have as a pet if you had the chance?

omg. I loved Pokemon when I was a kid!
I still have the old yellow version gameboy game.
If I had to choose one, I think I'd want Squirtle, because he's cute, and when he evolves, I could rise him in the ocean. xD

Yea I remember the yellow version cause you start of with pikachu which i found to be such a brilliant idea.
I must admit on the other versions at the start when you choose your starting Pokemon out of Charmander,Bulbasaur and Squirtle i would choose Squirtle all the time:D
I found he was always the easiest to use from the start and when evolved turned out to be the most useful with HM,s like surf for instance.

I would like to have a growlithe,squirtle,rapidash,and eevee.Iwould like to have a growlithe so he'll protect me from harm.I would like to have squirtle so we can travel the ocean together.I would like to have a rapidash so he can give me a ride on his back.I like eevee because he is cute and can evolve into many forms.
