If you're given the chance to shift course, what do you wanted and why?

I've already shifted my course from Electronics and Communications Engineering to Information Technology. The reason is , I am employed as an IT support/Administrator and rather continue my studies towards the field of work I am in to. Though Engineering courses are good but when it comes to the interest and type of job then it would build a concrete education and work experience later.

Well I think there's no problem in pursuing your desired course because in the end your destiny is at stake. :) but if there's no other way, maybe God has great reason why He put you in ECE. ;) -- http://rightfulliving.blogspot.com

Yes it's a better choice for you.. if i'm going to shift, do you think it's good for me too? since i'm just a 3rd year ECE student, I want to shift while it's still early..

Hi.. Goodmorning! My course is BS Electronics Eng'g.. but I don't think this really suits me because my hobby is more on computers and I know a lot of things about programming and I love it.. BSECE is more on hardwares but I think I'm more on softwares so if I was given the opportunity, I would prefer IT(Information Technology) or BSCOE(Comp. Eng'g)...

Ei, I'm an ECE graduate...I actually took up computer engineering then shifted to ECE. But yeah, I wanted to be an IT as well! Cool!

I think I'd go for a course that deals with both software and hardware. I also have interest in computers but I ended up teaching. Anyway my plan is to take a short course about computers within this year since I'm an irregular student and I have many long breaks. :) ECE sounds cool but I'm really not good in numbers so maybe I won't survive that course

I actually finished college already, and I graduated with a course that wasn't really my first choice. If I was given a chance to shift course, it'll be either journalism or veterinary medicine.

May I ask what was your course? I also like journalism but I ended up in a course I also don't like. The problem with me is that until now I can't decide what I really wanted because I have many choices. :)

I actually took up BS ECE. Piece of advice, make sure that you love your course...whatever it is, may it be in season or not, at least you love it...you love what your doing. And that's what matters. You'll do good if you love what your doing.

Ah, Looks like Donsky, you and me are sailing through the same boat! Ditto for me; I just hail journalism, especially the print variety. Coz, I luv writing. I'm also now an academic writer 8-) However, I'm now into IT Engineering, just about to finally get rid of it. I never ever wanted to get into this filthy mud, FACT! But there were many inevitable reasons.. One, I'd got extreme low marks in my 12th science grade. (I also never wanted to get into 12th science but my parents..lol) So I didn't have much a say in front of my parents' opinion. Yet, I don't blame them because I know for a fact that had put my foot down a little, they'd have given in! But I was never sure myself. Besides there was peer pressure and the glorious fad of IT Engineering at the helm! Having said this, although I repent my behaviour of all those days, I haven't yet given up. I've almost decided to take up an MBA in Mass Com after I'm formally a free bird lol! Let's see.. Fingers crossed :-)

I want to take accounting because anywhere I go, I will never afraid of losing a job as accountant is needed to all kinds of businesses including the doctors. I think I went on the wrong course. I am an IT but thinking that I should be in accounting. I can't go back to school anymore because I can't leave my job and it is hard to find jobs noawadays.

Animation, Graphic Design or Fine Arts, all the way. I'm currently an Architecture student. I feel more of a designer than an architect, as I enjoy designing (like promotional activities) for our college and university more than designing for incomprehensible/impossible professors. D: I draw more curves than multitudes of lines, I sometimes wonder why I'm still here. XD
