i dont know.. i mean i really hate it when they do sequels a few years apart but this one would be 17+ years later?!?! seems kind of silly to me but then again a lot of people really liked that movie so what do i know??
do you think ET would be a good movie to have a sequel?? even 17+ years later?!

I don't know that it is ever good to make a sequel to any movie and when you do one tis far apart I really don't know how you could tie the two together.
Will the children of the actor and actresses in the first movie have children that the same thing happens to. I mean what kind os story line could they actually come up with other than a sorta remake of the first ET.
I think they should just leave well enough alone and let ET stand as the movie it was.

Are they really making a sequel? I recall something years and years ago - probably when the move first came out - about a sequel that never came about. I think the rumor was that it had something to do about the actor that played ET, but I think it was just a rumor.

I never saw E.T. I was old enough but it wasn't my type of movie. I am real hard on sequels. the only two I remember that were great was The Godfather and Lethal Weapon. It seems like the suits in Hollywood are either too scared or too greedy to look for original scripts so they go for the "sure thing" , a remake of a hit.The problem is the original is out there on Dvd , and today's kids may not want to see this sequel.

Well, I think that if they were going to do a sequel they should have done it long before now. Why oh why wait almost 20 years in order to do a sequel to a movie. It seems rather silly.
I had not heard about this sequel before you mentioned it. Although I will probably watch the movie if it actually does come out.
Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

ET wouldn't be bad as a sequel, especially if they could get the original cast back together so that it would show the amount of time that passed on Earth. I have liked the majority of Spielberg's movies, especially the ones that Ron Howard was also involved with. I'd also like to see a sequel of Close Encounters where Richard Dreyfuss returns.
