When is it ever going to be good enough?

I find myself asking this question almost daily. It seems that "satisfaction" is the most quickly fleeting feeling there is. It doesn't matter what I do, What I accomplish, What I Gain; I'm after the next thing before the dust settles. It really is emotionally exhausting on so many levels. Is the greener grass always going to fade once you get to the other side of the fence? I understand that life is about progression and growing within yourself, it just bothers me that once I accomplish something it no longer seems to hold the same amount of merit. Does anybody else have this issue, if so how do you deal with it?

I agree that almost everyone of us will never fully satisfied with our life. We tend to want things that is beyond our reach. If we do can reach it, then again we want even more. I am no exception, I do feel that I can't get no satisfaction after I get what I want. But if we really think this through, this can be stop. At this stage of my life, I keep reminding myself to desire less and just go with the flow.

Do you think desiring less is really the best solution? If you lower your desire for success and positive accomplishments, wouldn't you be afraid that at some point you will begin to expect less from your self and start coasting in life? Its for this reason that I think my ability to be satiated is a catch 22. With it, I feel like I;m forced to run at 200% ALL the time.. With out it, I'm scared I'll be on cruise control pushing 30 in a 55.

You have to be THANKFUL for what you have. Before you can be proud of what you can acquire. If as soon as you get it, you are no longer thankful, then why would the next thing be anything special either. I am sure you have heard this before, but when you finally, fully understand it, and move it from your head to your heart, then you will know exactly what it means. Life is a Journey, enjoy the trip.

When it goes from your head to your heart. Then it will be clearer. This is something that you can't do anything to increase the speed in which it happens, it just will one day. I understand where you are coming from, I am somewhat like that myself. You try and try and try, and get it, and then, your like, wow, why did I even bother...Maybe, use the things you earn, be it a boy's love, or an award or something in other ways, that may help, it may not. But it is an idea.

One other small suggestion that may help with the okay so what now syndrome. Think of how great it will be, then know before you try to achieve it that it will not be that great.

I don't like things I have no means to change..lol.. I should simply just wait until my heart figures this nonsense out? My poor brain will be and the rest of me will be run into the ground by then I'm afraid! When my heart does figure it out (if ever that should happen), I will definitely let you know! lol .. in the mean time we shall agree to disagree. Besos, Iedyn Funny: My best male friend since the 7th grade if none other than Mr. C.J. Scott...lol..

I always found dissatisfaction and depression a healthy part of life, sometimes the pursuit of happiness and satisfaction can get a tad dull and needs some negativity to spice it up. Imagine a world where everyone walks around with smug faces all the time... *shudder*
