We have this two things in almost every recruitment activities along with Aptitude test. They have become mandatory in every business school. Student prepare a lot for these two things. But after they get admission in their dream institute, do you think they continue to improve on this particular activity ? Most of them just do it to get admission and some have it inborn. Later in job life, do you think this things are required ?
What is your opinion ?

Group discussion is quite important because we have to voice out and take others' advice during meeting. While it may sound very simple, it is not quite the case. Picking the right moment to voice out in a right tone where others can accept is never an easy task. Sometimes, you will be interrupting at the wrong moment and sometimes you will be speaking the right thing the wrong way.
Learning to take in others' advice during meeting and respond accordingly is an even more complicated thing.
Now, people may not be advancing in these kind of things during their college study but then they will have to master them one day or another...

Yes I completely agree with you. It is not an easy task. One needs a lot of practice to get the hang of it. I myself have never taken part in group discussions but I will have to as I am planning to do MBA and the first step to start it will be to pass in GD PI sessions. Can you list down some topics which I must practice before I take it ? Have you taken part in group discussions ?
Please Help me out!
