I bough my first computer when I was 18 years old. I think it was 1994 or 1995. I am not sure if it was my first or second year at university and I thought I would need it for my studies. It was very expensive: $2100 for a 486 computer with a 4x cd rom drive. It was a desktop pc (not tower) I put the monitor on top of the pc. Then I also bought an inkjet printer to go with that to print my assignments. It was about $900 dollars. Big expense. I took a small loan for that and used to do repayments monthly. How things change!!

when we bought our first computer in 1995 i was very excited because it was our first computer. we installed many softwares like Prince game and many other games from a floppy disk! the cost was about $1000. I think we were the first few in our city to buy a computer.

I remember I was 9 years old when I had my first computer, it was gift from my grandmother,I was thrilled and then when I was 12 years old I got my First ever laptop from my dad again a present to me. I thank them a lot. I think the first computer cost a lot as at that time everything concerning new technology was expensive.
