For or against the death penalty?

I just wondered how many of you are for or against the death penalty and what are your reasons for your choice? I am personally against it, no-one is better for taking someone else's life whether they are guilty or not. These people who commit such crimes should be made to suffer for the rest of their life in prison so they have to wake up every morning knowing why they are in the horrible place!
