I bought my first lottery ticket... and I won £100 !

True, I've never bought a lottery ticket before so while I was out getting groceries, there was a sign on the shop that said if you bought stuff more than £25 you either get a shopping voucher valued at £5 or a lottery ticket. So I opted for the ticket as I can get vouchers in other stores. I put in my numbers and got the ticket. Now when I got home I forgot about the ticket, but it was only just before the news that they had the lotto numbers announcement. Luckily I put the ticket in my purse and not inside the grocery bags. The girl called out the numbers and I had matched 3 of them plus the bonus ball.. so my total prize = £101.34! Not bad for a first timer.. At least I get the first round of drinks this weekend!! So if you have bought lottery tickets, what was the biggest amount you ever won? Share all your lottery stories here!

That is amazing! I don't know many people who win more than $3 at a time on lotteries. However, you never know - you could be the next millionaire!

That is awesome!! Congrats!! Ya know what's funny? Here you have to be 18 to play the lottery. My cousin bought me a few lottery tickets to play before I turned 18 and I won 50$ on each of them! I couldn't believe it. Now that I'm 25, I haven't won that much since!!! lol

wow, congratulations, so how did you spend the money? spend it wisely and make it grow.i usually bought lottery ticket, but i never won ever since, so i quit buying a ticket. but when there's a number that would pop up in my mind, i sometimes do buy intentionally, i just hope that someday i will be one of the lucky lottery winner.

That is actually really great. Congratulations for winning. It must feel great and a good first time experience in my opinion to win money playing the lottery. I have actually not played the lottery myself but I have helped choose the numbers for a few relatives that have decided to play and to say the least a couple of dollars here and there but nothing big to brag about.
