The Seventh day Adventist have been in existence since 1844. We believe that the Holy scriptures are the word of God, The trinity, Father Son and Holy Spirit. more detail here. http://www.adventist.org/beliefs/fundamental/index.html Seventh day Adventist is not a cult. We are active in missions the world over. They are sponsors of ADRA which seeks to identify and address social injustice and deprivation in developing countries. When there is a disaster ADRA is there. http://www.adra.org/site/PageNavigator/who_we_are The Hospital Loma Linda in California is managed by Seventh day Adventists. They treat the whole person. They encourage people to live a health life style because the body is the holy temple of God. There is more. We are not a cult as someone suggested. They do not believe that they are the only ones going to heaven. They are not secretive either. Often new church are started in individual homes until they are financially able to build a church building. Here where i live there are at least 7 churches. We also have a radio station that spreads the word of God and ways to have good health.

One of my friend is a member of this organization. I know that it is an international organization with substantial financial clouts in businesses around the world. I never seen any places of worship like church , temple or whatever worship house belong to them in my area, my friend worship with group of people in member home and don't talk much about their belief system, so it is kind of secretive in nature regarding 7th day-adventist, not much is known by people outside the faith.

Majority of these sects regard themselves as fundamentalist Christians; literally mean they are the followers of true bible teaching and practicing it according to the holy book daily. I am not familiar with 7th day-A., i know my friend pray often in a day , quite different from the main stream christian organization, and they are very secretive too.

I am only slightly familiar with their beliefs, but I work with a woman who is a 7th Day Adventist. She is the kindest, most intelligent, compassionate and sensible woman you could ever want to meet. That is mostly to do with her personality, I know, but if she represents her religion as a whole, she is a perfect role model. I cant say enough about her. She is wonderful! She has told me about her religion, but not in a way that makes it seem likes shes trying to convert me. I love that! I like learning about peoples religion but as soon as I feel like Im being recruited into a cult I disregard them lol.

wow that was amazing. i hope to meet her also. because there are some other people who will insist that their religion is the right one, but they don,t act as they speak their beliefs.

Yes I like that religion. They have more accurate belief than the Catholics especially their belief that the sabbath day is Saturday and not having images or statues of saints. But what I don't like with that religion is that they are forbidden to eat pork, crabs, shrimps, shells, and others. Well those are my favorites
