Flat packed furniture

I got a bed a couple of weeks ago and it was demanding to put in together because it came as a flat pack. Yesterday the drawers arrived to go underneath my new bed. They are close to impossible to put together with the small screws. Maybe I should purchase an electric screw driver. What do you think about furniture that comes as a flat pack? Are you able to put it together or do you get someone else to do it for you?

I'm not too bad at putting flat packs together and normally quite like doing it mysef as I tend to be a little organised and not like others to do it in case they muck it up!! lol

I personally don't have a problem with it and as for the electric screwdriver... sometimes yes and sometimes no... the little stuff don't even try it... y'just gotta take the time. The MOST important thing is to go step by tedious step through the instructions to make sure they do things exactly how they say to do them (which is not always easy). All hail IKEA, eh? Thanks Zelo

I love the word "easy" that always seems to come with the assamlly instructions. This reminds me of a Christmas when my kids were young. I bought an easy to assemble swing and slide. The idea was to put it together after the children went to bed. Well they were almost up by the time my friend and I finished. I'm no expert at this.

I always gert flatpack furniture, and I put it together myself. Although sometimes it is too complicated to put together so I get some one to help me. The worst is when you buy it and some of the pieces are missing :(

I got a kitchen table and chairs like that once needless to say that by the time the boxes all arived I was missing several screws that were very important to putting the table and chairs together. When they arrived the boxes were damaged and during shipping some of the most important parts had fallen out and were lost forever. I will never buy something I have to put together like that. I like pre assembled items.
