Fifty years of their married life... I mean their 'Golden Jublee' year! They are my 'Father-in-law' and 'Mother-in-law'. And I'm now at their residence with family to attend their invitation on this occasion! They have been blessed with four children and seven grand-children! May God bless them with a long life with good health and wellness...! I have been associated with their family for the last twentyone years since my marriage! Hope a good many years of association ahead with them! What about you friends? Do you feel proud when your elders celebrate such a special occasion? Please share your views...!

That is really wonderful, Mitraa. Also wonderful that you have been so blessed to be a part of that family. My parents celebrated their 50th 3 years ago and yes I felt very proud to be celebrating it with them. They had 4 children, 9 grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren (more born since then) and we all met at a cabin in the mountians for a week to celebrate with them. It was a bit of a crazy time, but very reminisent of our life and we had a great time.

OH!!! congratulations to them for reaching that years of being together. There are many couples who were not able to reach that long of being married. I salute to people who were able to celebrate their golden year anniversary. I would be proud too if I am in your part. And congratulations also for reaching 21 years.. that is really something. My parents will be celebrating their golden anniversary two years from now.

Thanks Bebs for your nice response! Hope you will well participate at your parents' golden anniversary in two years from now! Yes I shall be completing 21 years in a few days ahead that is 22nd of the next month (June). You are absolutely true that only a few couples reach at their 'Golden Anniversary'! Anyway they must be well regarded by their younger generation as a matter of responsibility. Thanks and have a nice day!

My mum and dad got married 35 years ago and the surprising thing is that both of them celebrate their marriage aniversary on the same day. Jokes apart, it is special watching them grow old every year and celebrating one more milestone each year with each other. I mean 35 year is a long long time but one thing which I never understood is that they fight more than they love each other. Most of the time they use to fight and still they are living with each other. I can see when they talk to each other(when they are in good mood) and feel that wow, this is the pleasure for which we live for. They look so lovely and romantic too! They are awesome and I love them.

What I think San... is fighting between married couple is the precipated form of real love...! Where there is no fight, there is no love! Couples fight among themselves because they love each other very much! Hope your parents the 50th and even the 60th year milestone as loving and fighting couple...! Thanks for your nice response and be always their proud child!!

it is indeed a great pleasure i celebrating such mile stone - because such couples are great examples for the current generation. With the increase in the divorce rate it is very essential to celebrate the wedding anniversary of those who are still going strong in their married life. My hearty wishes to your MIL & FIL. Just a couple of weeks of back my grandparents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary and my mom with her 3 sisters arranged for a grand party for their achievement. I should say it was a memorable event in the family :)
