Well I don't know much about Christianity. But am thinking to know about the philosophies of various religions... The think I want to ask is clear with the title. It is said that Jesus took all the sins away from the people. I know there are lots of Christians here in mylot. And I am definite that any one will surely come up with logic how and explain it here... I don't say, I don't believe in it. Taking the sins away from the people is possible. I can explain this in terms of Buddhism. But I don't know what is the fact in Christianity. so I hope you will come up with answer.... Share love, and understand you are the part of this nature...This is the only right way to live...

hehe funny. You should have born at that time... Well why don't you go on cancelling your sins with the nice deeds. +100 - 100 = zero. That means sins and good deeds can lead to taking away of sins lol... Thanks for your participation in this thread...Happy mylotting...

One good deed covers a multitude of sins.

I THINK jesus taking away all the sins is just a metaphore. i think he helped people purify off their sins by teaching forgiveness and other methodes. But to think he took away sins just by magic is not logical.if it was that easy we can sin as much as we want and ask jesus to take away the sins. I admire Jesus.Even when he was tortured on the cross he begged for forgivenes. He was a great person for sure.

I hope you are right bro!!! The taking away of sins meant the purification of mind, making the people think positive instead of evil and gave world the new way. But some people here keep on sticking to the point that Jesus took away all sins of the people, and then argue with that point which don't have any basis at all. Happy mylotting...Thanks for the response...

The christian concept of taking away sins is that man is a fallen sinful creature separated from God by our sins. Jesus who was sinless took our place and therefore paid the sin penalty for man so that man could go before God blameless. Even though man continues to "sin", it does not count against him now. This concept is a little hard for me. Being a father, I can not say to my child, go a way from me, you have been bad. So I can not understand the concept of God, the creator of everything standing off in a distance away from his creation saying you may not approach me because you are bad. For me there is no Good and Evil, God is a singularity, not a duality. He is not Jekyll and Hyde. All things come from God, it is only our perception of how we experience the moment that causes us to say it is good or bad. God can only be good, And the only thing that could be called evil is the hearts of man. So that is why sometimes something happens that we call bad, so that correction is made and the person turns away from their evil and back in tune with Gods will for man. It is easier to say reward and correction than Good and Evil. And P.S. You responded to one of my other posts from months ago with a thumbs down. I can understand why you did this, but you did not see all the other posts and comments this person made in the past. I was asking why he went around in other posts criticising and putting down other religions, He said that he did not have a religion, then I saw the post you responded to. I was trying to bring him out and say what he supported and what he believes, I was not trying to put down Buddhist, i was trying to force him into the open for a discussion on his past post where he made a lot of accusations about me. But like I said, seeing that you could only read that post I understand why you would get that impression of me. MyLot removed all of his previous post that he made such inflammatory remarks about other religions and to me personally.

I am sorry to misunderstand about that. Yup!!! our soul or mind is the only thing that is not purified. It is full of sins. But now instead of clearing these sins, people are committing even more and more sins. This is the very problem with the world. Whatever the religion we follow, we have to always follow the path of truth, kindness, loving. Because kindness spread the wave of kindness and the hatred spread the wave of hatred. Because they are the way we reflect ourselves. This world is not really the place for us to enjoy. Everything is suffering. And that's why clearing up all the sins is necessary. If you clear up all the sins and know the exact truth, knowing literally the truth is not enough, this is not the challenge, everyone can do. The realization of truth is necessary. And for that, looking towards ourselves, inner truth is necessary. Well the truth is in front of us. You are the truth. For example, when you are typing here in mylot, you can't even know you are breathing. How unconscious you and we are. And now, meditate the breath you are taking. And the same is with the existence of whole body. See everything what is happening and real. This leads to the knowing of actual truth in the world and even get enlightened. And then you can be next Jesus, next Buddha, you can reflect the goodness in this earth. Good luck! And thumbs up now
