Are you the type of person that likes to have something like a snack along with your coffee or do you just wake up in the morning and just want to drink a cup and that is all? There are some days when I am happy to just drink a cup of hot coffee to get the day started right and then there are times when I need to have a small treat like cake or cookies with it. Do you have to enjoy snacks with your coffee most times?

I thank you for your reply winterose. I am receiving several different ideas about the coffee thing. I also like to drink hot tea from time to time and either hot drink seems to go good with a snack. There are of course those such as yourself that will only drink something alone. I appreciate your input and take care.

Kelly- I only drink coffee in the morning, unless we're at a Caribou for a treat. In the morning I have my coffee before breakfast and just enjoy its own flavor. If I can get up early enough, I enjoy it without my son trying to steal it! If we go to a Caribou for a treat I typically get a scone of some sort. I just had one a few days back that was a cinnamon strussel scone. Oh my, it was heaven in a scone. Namaste-Anora

I am not sure what a Caribou is or where one is. I have heard of the animal Caribou but I am interested to know where this place is. It sounds like you just like to take coffee in the morning and that is all. I can appreciate the responses that I receive about this subject. I figure that everyone has a special choice with coffee and some just like to enjoy it black or with cream and sugar. I can appreciate the fact that coffee alone is a great way to start the day and if you can have some quiet time then that is even better. That cinnamon scone sounds real good. It must be a nice treat to have along with something hot like your coffee. Take care and thanks.

Pat- Thanks! I just got your add this morning. I actually am enjoying my first cup minus children. It's heaven! Not that I don't love my children mind you. The birds are nesting in the birdseed outside, and the freshly poured rain scent is wafting in. A lovely way to begin the morning. I look forward to getting to know you. Namaste-Anora

I usually don't have a snack with my coffee. I usually have it in the morning. Funny thing is, since I got home from my appendectomy, I haven't really wanted coffee in the morning. I prefer a cold glass of water or, later, some orange juice. I haven't gotten the coffee bug back yet. My treat with coffee is to have some sugarless liquid vanilla-caramel creamer in my last cup, that's like a candy bar almost!

Hi dragon. I usually have to have something with my coffee and it has to be sweet! I tend to add cream and sugar to mine however I still need something like a piece of toast or a cookie to go along with it. Sorry to hear about your appendectomy. Although I am sure that it what you needed to do and I sure hope that you have recovered well. I like the words "coffee bug". I get those "bugs" once in while about other things in life too!lol Can't say that I have ever had sugarless liquid with vanilla-caramel creamer but that sure sounds good and it seems to make up for something sweet like a cake or cookie or something. By the way I really like caramel and so that must go great with something hot like tea or coffee. Take care and thank you.

I only want coffee and black. After a couple of cups and a little time to myself I am almost a human being, before that I am the wicked witch of the Northwest.

LOL Pat! That's my title. I can't drink mine black though, never could. I'm a cream and sugar gal. Namaste-Anora

I have coffee every morning about 4am. I always have something to munch on with it. Usually cookies or doughnuts sometimes a piece of cake, as long as it is sweet.

Hi bama... The first thing I do after I turn my computer on at work is get a cup of coffee. I like to have a granola bar with my coffee in the morning. Every once in awhile I'll splurge and have a donut or piece of cake, but usually not. I love having a cup of coffee in the morning and that would be enough.

I am like you. It depends on my mood in the morning. I was up the street at the cafe for a mocha latte, and on the way home I stopped at the store next door for some grocceries. I picked up a couple of Aero mint bars for my husband and I, with plans to have them for dessert after dinner with a cup of black coffee.

Hi Bamakelly, I only have time to take a cup of coffee on most working mornings. However during my afternoon coffee breaks or when I'm with friends, I usually have some food with my coffee, like cheesecakes, garlic bread, bread with butter and jam or scones.

Hmm, well, the only times that I take in solid food with my coffee are at breakfast (with toast or a sandwich) and when my friends and I go out to hang out at a coffee shop. Otherwise, I simply drink coffee by itself.

I am not a big fan of coffee. I used to be but since I never got good coffee in my office or home, neither I know how to make them, so I have left it and enjoy tea. Again, I don't take bed tea. I do take snacks with them in the evening time, though. In evening, I can't drink tea without a snack, be it a sweet one or a non-sweet one, I mean salty!

most of the time my coffee has to have something sweet to go with it like cookies or cake. i take my coffee pure black: no sugar, no cream. right now i have an excess of 3 lbs. and i try to take the 3 in 1 sachet without anything. that is lesser calories if i take it with either a cookie or a piece of cake.

I actually don't drink a lot of coffee but when I do at work I usually like to eat a bit of a snack with it as well. I usually eat cookies and dip them in my coffee. I don't usually have a snack with coffee and when I do drink it I just drink it with a bit of sugar and cream and it helps me wake up early in the mornings and get to work and start the day off great.

For me I think it is about half and half. It depends on what mood I am in or what time of day it is. Maybe even what food is in the house. It's the same with tea.

I usually love to drink coffee without anything on the side. But if I am craving for something more, I will just get a donut or a cake - preferably chocolate cheese cake! HEHE! YUMMY! Happy MyLotting!
