I'm sure everyone knows the amount of mess in the Christian world after the release of the movie The Da Vinci Code.To me Christians that protest in front of the cinemas and premiers are just low in faith.Think about it,it's just a movie. In other words,it's a "fairy-tale".Infact,how can one movie destroy the faith of Christianity that lasted for more than 2000 years?C'mon, just move on with your faith and walk with God.

True faith cannot be destroyed by movies, what Christians protest is our right as it is yours in the USA to protest things you do not like. Many feel that there is good reason to protest things like this, but people have been doing things like this on one scale or another ever since Adam and Eve were kicked out of the garden. Man will make good and bad choices, but with the media like it is during this time in our history many things seem to be taken more or less seriously than they should be.

I should have added that yes this is a work of fiction and as long as it is viewed as such and people understand that it is fiction, like Harry Potter and other contested works of fiction then they will be able to keep everything in prospective. Many people do not understand fiction nor do they teach their children that there is a difference between fiction and non-fiction. Do not leave it to teacher to explain the difference between fiction and non-fiction. Teaching begins at home.

I say a very big AMEN to that. If I walk with God, have a relationship with Him, what can a movie, or anything for that matter, do to my faith. My faith is in God, my inspiration is His Word and nothing can take that away. The Scripture says that we must be steadfast and trust in God alone so that our faith does not weaken. Only if one feals treatened will he do silly things like protesting. If my eyes are on God, I will never feal treatened. Blessings to you

Actually it cannot destroy the faith of a true Christian. It is the ones on the fence that one has to worry about, the ones that believe that it is true. And the way the author wrote the book made people believe it is true. The best thing is to read the Bible, know history, and learn from that. Ignorance is the reason why movies like The Da Vinci Code make people believe that Jesus married Mary Magdalene. It is just another rehash about the pagan mother goddess religion. I do wonder whether the author's intention was to destroy the faith of many if it were possible. If their faith was destroyed by this movie, they were not true Christians anyway.

I agree, only those who are weak in their faith fear alternative views.
