If you were asked by Rollingstone to pick the best song of all time, what would it be? You should take lyrics, instrumentals, technicality, social relevance all into account. which song would you pick and why?

I am by no means a musical genius. I don't really understand technicality or the perfection of instrumentals, but I can enjoy a well put together song in vocals and variation of sounds and lyrics. One of my all time favorite songs isn't fast. It is a simple song sung with great feeling and therefore makes me cry almost every time. The duet version of the song, "Unforgettable" by Nat King Cole and his daughter, is my favorite song. Everyone longs to be memorable to someone, to give meaning to someone's life. Not only that, but each person has a person in their life who is unforgettable. Im not sure if I am providing evidence in the way you have requested, but for me, Unforgettable, is one of the greatest songs of all time. It is a classic piece which I hope to, one day, share with my kids.

It would be 'Lyin' Eyes' by the Eagles. This song is a story with a great tune behind it. It's catchy, and you can recognise it with the opening bars. It has everything a hit needs, in shedloads. It's a morality tale for any time, so this song could have been from a hundred years ago, or a hundred years in the future. I love it!
