There are some times of desperation when you would really like to get that extra marks.Or it will be just to improve the grades. There are a lot of students who cheat during examinations. But they do justify themselves in some way or another. In fact many don't even consider 'discussing in the examination hall' as cheating. I have seen a lot of students masterfully cheating under the nose of the poor ignorant invigilators who thinks they are doing a very good job.But personally I never the courage to cheat or even ask anyone in the examination hall. But have you ever cheated or seen anyone doing so in an examination hall? If you have had any interesting experiences in the examination hall, please do respond to this discussion.

Its really bad to cheat in examination. May be, by doing this you are just stealing anyone else right. A very big part of my life that is my school life has suffered due to this. When I was in standard and Grade 7. I had a classmate, who was son of teachers head of the same school, but really very very poor in studies. During my final exams, he use to cheat from my papers, as he didn't know anything. If i try to appose him, he use to threaten me that he will get me failed in exams telling her mother. Finally I was failed in the exams and he was passed, blaming that I cheated in exams, and I couldn't do anything. I left that school, but I still remember the incident. This the reason I really hate cheating.

To be honest with you, I do cheating during the exam. This frequently happen in my final year of my university study. Funny thing is before the exam, almost all of my class prepared their cheating method. And we sometimes eager to enter the examination hall just to make sure we got the most strategic seat to cheat. I don't feel guilty about cheating in the exam. It's somewhat helps me to pass my degree. Well of course my friends helps too.

I have never cheated in the exam hall.Even if a person asks me to show him answers i will never do it.Once i went for a kt exam for my economics exam.It was a very simple paper and the student was copying from a chit. The madam called the principal from the college. She asked him to move out of the class which he never did.THen the teacher told him he could write the paper but the other papes he wrote he will fail.So the boy quietly left the class.

I will be honest here......and i must say that some times i do copy in my exams........ Reason: - There are so many subjects in my syllabus which requires me to by heart the answers which i am totally against and i don't approve of...... I feel during the exams your understanding and your IQ is what matters........but if you expect student to mug up the answers whats the point.......they will mug up, write in the exams......and then there is no practicality in it......because by the time you have finished writing your exams you have forgotten everything......atleast it does for me....... So it is just for those lecturers who demand those mugging up business is when i copy !!!!!

I totally agree with you.Cheating in a way is promoted by the educational system. If there were questions which measured your reasoning ability more than your mugging up capacity there would very less incidents of cheating. I also don't remember what i had studied for the exams after finishing it.If that is the then what is the point in conducting exams. Our educational system desperately need some drastic changes.Well we can only hope for the best.

Not at all! I had never done it before. In fact, I never needed that. Because, I can study well and I secure at least third in my class. So, I never met with such situation. Also, I always try to be honest. So I had never cheated in exams. But I don't say that those who cheat are sinners. Because some parents and teachers force students to study and score marks beyond their capacity. If a student is 'not able' to study well but he's forced to get good marks without his problem bring understood, then cheating is the only thing that he can do. So, it's up to the parents and teachers to prevent students from cheating. Don't just blame the students!

I still remember the scene my classmate and I cheated in almost each examination when we were in university. We took it for granted. Our student periods were full of playing and love. We didn't regard study as an important thing. Honestly I must admit I regret living in university in that way. But I think it is just because we are young. Young people must make some mistakes more or less. lol

Cheating is not right and I cannot do it without feeling worse about it than if I just failed. I I know people who cheat reguarly and don't think a thing about it and some that do get bothered by it justify it. I have cheated once in my life. It was a long time ago but if I could take it back I would.

I have never cheated on an examination. Though once I was in a class where we had to take personality tests and I looked up and saw a boy I knew copying his brother's answers for his own on the personality test! I couldn't believe it, tells a lot about a person's personality if they copy another person's answers on a personality test! In a testing environment it is never right to cheat because your personal knowledge is being tested. But, in life there are times when shortcuts are required. And the main thing is to have the wisdom to know when these times are.

Do you mean leakage? Well, I once had used a leakage way back in college. But the feeling of getting higher marks through it is not an accomplishment for me.

My biology teacher told us about one of his students that cheated by writing the answers to the test on the back of her water bottle label. He noticed because she was concentrating more on her water bottle than the test!

I had thought about cheating and even looked over at someone else paper but in the end I could not do it. I figured I would only be hurting myself and if I was caught my parents would have been real mad at me. Most of the exam I took in college were open book or take home exams.

Yup, I've cheated in my examinations for just a dozen times. I'm not justifying it coz I know what I did was really wrong. . . Oh well, I never did regret cheating.

While I don't remember cheating, it has been so l-o-n-g since I was in school, that it may be a possibility. I definitely saw other people cheating and know that people copied from me sometimes.

LOL.... Sure I ever cheated having taken so many exams. However, I do not cheat in major exams, only exams which I have problems remembering names and formulas. In one particular internal exam, there was only one invigilator. I even passed my paper for a friend to copy. It was so much fun.

It's been so long since I have taken an exam where I was able to cheat. I do recall in highschool there were a couplf people who would cheat off of me. I did not want to cheat because I never trusted other people's answers. I cannot say for sure that I NEVER cheated but if I did, it was not many times.

To be honest, when I was in high school I cheated in history and science all the time. Never got caught, I think my history teacher even knew, I made it so obvious, I didn't even try hiding it, but he let me get away with it. Years later I went to school to be a medical assistant. At this point though god forbid if you mentioned cheating to me I would get so mad at you. There were girls in my class that cheated, and the way I looked at it if you can't do it without cheating, what are you going to do when you get a job. If I see them working in an office of my doctor I will leave. You are messing with someones life, don't you dare cheat. So when I was younger yes I cheated but when it came to what I wanted to do as a career, no i didn't. I actually studied that time around. :)

I have never cheated myself, but there's an interesting incident that took place when I was appearing for my 12th final exams. The professor who was on the duty caught one guy who was seated right in front of me, for cheating, but, the fact is he was not cheating, and I objected in the examination hall by saying ' sir, he cannot cheat, you had misunderstood him'. the professor angrily, took my answer sheet for half an hour for objecting, and I was somehow able to complete my paper on time. In the hindsight when I look back, I still feel that I did the right thing because I stood for the truth.

Personally I think it is too much work to cheat. Even if it is hallway chat. That is alot of information to remember. I would be so worried about getting caught I may not remember the info. It's much easier and much more rewarding to study and test on what you actually know. That way when you enter the field you know that you know your stuff. I would hate to be rushed to the ER and my nurse need to pull out her cheat sheet!!!
