I try very hard to lead a greener life...I recycle, substitute organics as my budget allows, also by buying energy efficient bulbs and recycled paper products. But I would like to start using facial products that can be made from items that can be found in my cupboard. Any suggestions, oh and I do have dry skin and I am looking for a facial firming preparation...8o)

I like to learn how to use different things in my cupboard for beauty and hair as well as cleaning. I have Found this wonderful site that has many people contributing beauty aids from the kitchen. It ishttp://www.thriftyfun.com/tf697771.tip.html. It also has many other ideas for just bout any thing you want.

The site is AWESOME...Thank you, Thank you, Thank you... I also have this problem with ants [ yah, I know...off topic, but ] and I'm allergic to insecticides...besides the harmful effects they have on the environment...So I have been trying alternate methods in the hopes of eliminating them. This site had quite a few new ideas that I can try to evict the little buggers from my kitchen. This site has been bookmarked...and I am ever so grateful for the share...8o)

The best facial firming items seem to be clay masks and toners. If you want to exfoliate old skin and keep your face and everywhere else) soft you can use baking soda or even a sugar scrub. There are so many resources for this sort of thing online if you look around you can find recipes for your skin type.

The great thing about MyLot is that you get responses from real people, some are friends that you've shared conversations with. And that's what I'm looking for suggestions from people about things that they or someone they know have actually tried...8o)

I've never made a sugar scrub either (you can also use salt), I usually use baking soda or a purchased apricot scrub.
