Yes I did! I got depressed over something that bothers from time to time. This isn't the first time I made myself depressed! This has been going on most of the day! I really dislike myself when I do this! I'll get over this but to make sure what is bothering me never bothers me again I'm going to do something about it! What made me depressed is I don't like housekeeping and some of the things I ignore. So what I'll do is save up my money and have a housekeeping company come in and super clean my apartment a few times ayear. Then one less thing to make me depressed! Is there anyone else out there who makes yourself depressed?

I do this sometimes, only it is about family things. I will let things that happened when I was a child get to me because I see the same person doing the same things to his grandchildren (mainly just ignore them and not care) If I let my self dwell on it then I get depressed. I have found that if I find something to do with my brain and my hands I can think about it and not let it get to far and then I can move on. That sounds like a great idea though, I think that when I start work next year I will also save my money and get some help with my deep cleaning.

Don't forget there's a difference between depression and getting peeved or upset with something. I suffered from clinical depression some years ago, and it was Hell on wheels. I dislike having to clean out my cats' litter trays and find it really tedious and annoying to have to go shopping in teh rain, but it doesn't REALLY depress me in the true, clinical sense of teh word. I know this sounds like pedantry but honestly, I doubt you're really depressed - upset, sad, angry with yourself, annoyed - but probably not really depressed.

Hi friend, Oh my God, I can so relate to your depression over house cleaning. I have children (well young adults) and I just find it so discouraging to get up the energy to clean the house, which is three stories. So it feels like I just get one part of the house clean and by the time I turn around, there's a mess where I haven't been. I also think that housekeeping itself is so monotonous. It's like a dog chasing it's tail. Every day you wake up and its like the same s.... over and over again. I know kids don't think it's that big a deal, so there's dishes or so there's dust bunnies, but it just drives us crazy. Well good luck to you and just try and plug along. I usually put on my country music and it kind of takes my mind off what I am doing. Cheers, Cheryl
