Getting Discouraged.

I am sorry. I need to vent a little bit about writing articles. Heres the thing. Everyday, I am online writing articles. I am not one of those who just hurry up and write anything down just to make money. I honestly work hard on writing quality content that I believe people want to read! I research google trends and see what topics are popular and often searched. I use the keyword tools to make sure that it matches the content of my article. I take steps to improve my SEO ratings. On top of that, I spend a lot of time advertising my work. I post the links on my blogs and advertise the heck out of my blogs. I have posted my blogs, as well as my articles on the big 3 search engines (as well as many others) and I even used automatic article submission software. Still...I am not seeing much progress. My views are still low. The articles that do get a lot of views, still are not making any money. I have google adsense on both of my blogs, and have only earned 9 cents from adsense. My Pitbull blog is all complete Pitbull content. The keywords should be right on point. I made sure to use my keywords in all of the posts and content. I added metatags and everything too. STILL...the google ads barely match the blog. My pitbull blog is showing ads that have to do with blogging and tattoo shops??? On top of that, I am just getting tired of posting links all over the web and still not getting any views. I am starting to get really discouraged and I am wondering if all of the hard work I have been doing with my writing is even worth the few cents here and there that I am earning. I have 17 articles on Ehow and in 2 months I have earned about 7.00. On AC, I have 3 articles and have only earned 12 cents from views. Everyday I read about people who are making really good money, either from writing or from adsense. I read an Ebook about adsense the other day and the guy that wrote the book posted proof of his adsense earnings, and he was making anywhere from 100.00-300.00 a day on adsense. I also sopke to another mylot member who told me that her Ehow articles earned her 500.00 last month. I am following the advice that these people are giving me, but nothing is working for me. if I could earn at least 200.00 a month from my writing and from adsense combined, I would be happy. But I am lucky to earn 10.00 a month right now. I feel like giving up. Sorry that this was so long, I just felt the need to whine about this for awhile.

I know what you mean. It's really, really frustrating when all your hard work and dedication doesn't pay off. I do a lot of writing online and it is really hard to get views.

I went to free-ebooks.net and downloaded a couple of ebooks that talk about how to profit from writing online. I am following the advice and hoping that it helps. I understand that I am not going to make a lot of money overnight and that it is not going to be easy to do, but I want to get paid for the writing I do, instead of how many views I get. I like that AC offers an upfront payment so that I am not constantly having to worry about getting page views,I wish there were other sites like that.

I don't think you are doing anything wrong. I have always viewed residual income from page views as being a long term project that will continue to generate money over a period of time, never as a quick way to make money. A few articles and new blogs will only earn a few cents, but over time this does increase. I make around $1 each day from page views to my articles on one site, and my blogs all earn a few dollars each month. I am just happy that I now have hundreds of articles and blog posts getting found in search results and being visited every day. You could try to make more money from your articles by selling some of them at Daily Article, where you can submit original articles for sale. At Constant Content you can resell articles with non-exclusive rights, or offer original articles with full rights. Constant Content also sends out emails to members who request them, with details of topics wanted by publishers, so you can write articles to those titles.

I understand your frustration. All hard work for nothing. However, I am sure you did learn something in the process. That is already some plus points for you, not in terms of monetary but intellectual. Do not be discouraged :) In the internet business, I feel awareness is very important. People need to know you exist. It is only then that you can generate interest and increase your views. Perhaps you might want to write something out of the norm? I am not sure but I feel some lessons on internet marketing may help.

The other day I posted an article on how to know if you have a ghost in your house. I am waiting to see how it does. :) Thanks for responding. I think perhaps I just need to have patience.

Hello queenlove, since you like writing articles you should try doing myLot tasks. They pay good. Right now there are 8 available worth $2.00 a piece. The 500 word articles are worth $4.00. So try doing some of those. Happy myLotting! Keep your head up it will get better.

wow i admire you, its ok to vent... i am not really that much of a writer... and i dont much of those seo, keywords and all those stuffs... 17 articles and only 7 in 2 months... that's really frustrating. but dont give up. there are still other ways to earn more from writing. from what i've been reading here in mylot, responses and discussions, i've learned a few, and have tried writing using keywords... and i got paid $2 for a 4 paragraph 1 article. just do your own thing, sometimes one way or style doesnt work for all, there is always a different style for each person to do that works best for him. have you heard of socialspark? try it there too... there are many writing opps there and they pay $5 - $20 per article... just dont give up.
