have you ever liked a song because it had a really good guitar part or really good lyrics? here is a perfect example of one. Our truth by Lacuna Coil. I love the guitar in it. Its Awesome. But...... The lyrics. make it sound like a bit of a pop song (im not a huge fan of pop) "clock is ticking while i'm stealing time, cant you turn it back? stop the cycle, set it free, run away" add the name "Our truth" those lyrics above and a chick singer? sounds kinda pop-ish. doesnt it? but, all that aside, i love the guitar. see? perfect example of loving and hating the same song. what about you? love and hate the same song? any song at all? i want to hear your thoughts

It doesn't seem to sound pop-ish, but then again, that depends on the genre. I love songs on their every aspect but tilted a little on the music part, lyrics is kinda second priority. Here's some lyrics for you, guess what genre the song belongs to before reading on: "Here I am with you, I'm there 'til the end Memories are calling, so farewell my, farewell my friend." Yeah? Sounds a little sad, like maybe RNB, or pop, or even a ballad? Actually it's Metalcore (hardcore metal). It's from the song "Say Goodnight" by Bullet For My Valentine. If you're a fan of metal, or rock genres, you'll like that song too. :) By the way, I know one band with a girl vocalist that sings songs that you'll never expect them to sing. If you think Amy Lee from Evanescence, or even the all-girl punk rock band Halo Friendlies are extreme, wait 'til you hear the voice of Angela Gossow from the band Arch Enemy.
