Are you a people-person?

Do you find it easy to interact with people? Do you easily get into conversation with them? Is meeting new people a breeze for you? So you have a lot of friends? Do you consider yourself a people-person?

Neither my fiance and I are too much of a people person. We're really home bodies, like to stay home and just watch t.v., use the computer, or read a book. It's great to just stay home instead of get out, but sometimes we do like to go shopping etc. We're nice and if someone talks to use we'll talk to them, but as far as having a lot of friends, no not really.

And your fiance is also one of your closest friends? There are times when I'd rather be by myself and read or just surf the net.

Yes my fiance's one of my closest friends. We have time while we're by ourselves for the most part, I'll be in one room and he in the other. It doesn't bother me when he is around, only when I am trying to concentrate. Lol, but in his defense I like to lurk around when he's trying to concentrate too. Yes, homebodies we are.

I'm not sure if I am one.. it depends on my mood and on the person that I just met. In terms of meeting new people, in my line of work it is quite easy. I do have a lot of friends though. Especially since I love joining activities that involve meeting new people like camps, conferences, summits, workshops, etc. If I am to rate my people-skills with 100% as the highest, I'll probably land into 75%. That would make me be considered as a people-person?

I bet it does. There will always be times when we just want to be by ourselves but that doesn't lessen por people-skills. The fact that you also enjoy meeting new people and interacting with them, I guess, would qualify you as a people person.

True enough though I also have a lot of friends and consider myself very friendly. The close ones are quite few.

Hi diutay, I find it easy to get on with people and enjoy meeting new people, but also am an outgoing person and have always got on with others, yet also am a fair judge of character when it comes to knowing if the person is sincere or not...LoLo

Same case here...I don't go out much because I also live in the building where I work. I have friends who come over and we do talk a lot.

I'm very slow to warm to people. I watch, listen, and observe before deciding to interact on any level other than that which requires customary pleasantries. In my defense though I am devoutly loyal to those I have chosen to bring into my little circle of life. I can be what some may call abrasive, I am strogly opinionated and have been told that I posess a sense of Entitlement that some don't know how to deal with. I am a people watcher not a people person..lol.. Should I happen to come across another person that seems to be worth investing my time in whilst "watching", then I'll engage them in one way or another. I wouldn't say I have a lot of frineds, I have a circle of intimately close friendships. People I would consider family, even though we have no blood relation. Then there are acquaintances, people I choose to know and interact with for reasons that are varied and sometimes only understood by myself... Besos, Iedyn

People watching can be very interesting. I also do that a lot especially when I am traveling. Thanks.

I am a primary school teacher and so I especially like to spend time around children. It is delightful to be around creative young people that are keen to learn. If there are any naughty ones I catch them being good, use praise and build their self esteem. I like talking to adults and find it easy to get into a conversation with someone on a train, bus or ferry. I love meeting up with my friends and chatting away. I am very keen on traveling and I like to meet different nationalities. I consider myself to be a people's person. I am also very fond of animals.

Being a people-person is an advantage when you are a teacher. Working and dealing with people is something that teachers do and that includes me.

I'm a people person... I love to talk with people... about whatever they want to talk about... I love learning about people and their lives, but not just that but I love hearing the things that people will share with a complete stranger... I've been a waitress for a long time for just that reason... Its amazing to me that someone will tell a stranger something so personal they wouldn't tell a family member!

I agree with you. Sometimes, they'd also say something about other people, too.
