Hi Lotters, I dont feel that i have wasted my vote. today i vote someone ,tomorrow he changes completely--why should i vote and the most important thing is whom should i vote. How do i know that this person will do good for the society and for the people- how do i know that he will keep his promises tomorrow. I would just request one small thing---let the politicians show their bank accounts to the people-everything will get cleared. how much do they get ,what is their salary? Today look at all the politicians-how rich they are, they enjoy all the best things on this earth. they eat rich, they stay rich they move rich--who thinks abt the people, who things abt aam janata. they dont have time for that.everywhere there is corruption.there is no one to take the resposibility and the ownership. I genuinely feel that I have not wasted my vote.

You may not have wasted your vote but you aren't really in a position to request anything from them. If you think something is wrong or corrupt then you should vote to change it.

If enough people voted for a politician that could be trusted then yes your vote could well be the difference between a corrupt politican being elected and a on-corrupt one

Exactly. You said it! Even I don't waste my time voting for crude and corrupt politicians. I feel like I am wasting my time standing on the que. if I spent that time in doing some charitable work, i could improve my nation as well as receive the grace of God! but when some really good people like Abdul Kalam comes for election, I will surely give my vote whole heartedly. But we don't directly elect the presidents right? Regards, Ajith

Well, thank you for that! And even I like your attitude though. I believe that doing some moral work is better than casting votes against these so-called 'kadhar-dharis' who give no care to our country and take all the money. Only a few are really loyal to the nation. But if someone is loyal,eg: Rajeev Gandhi, he would be assassinated by the party members or by conspiracy people. I wish that someday- some guy with enough courage will land and empower our nation And I really enjoyed replying to your discussion. It was a very good one.... and pretty controversial too.

Hi It was nice talking to u. u r right and i really appreciate ur work. there are some good people but they will nevwr be able to make any difference coz there numbers r few and no one will listen to them. During pre-independence there were people who fought together for a common cause-freedom, but those days r gone. Today everyone has their own cause ,own reason -no one bothered to solve the problem. All r self centered. Even if I vote -it will make no difference. It was nice chatting with u- I am from india. where u from?? do write me and keep in touch.

U r wrong. U have allowed a culprit to caste two votes. Just don't ignore elections. Now-a-days we have a separate option for those who don't want to vote. Just get a 49-O form and fill it!

but then again if you dont vote then you dont really have any right toi moan about politics. or have nay say in hwta goes on in your conutry, this is what i feel voting earns you the right to do! I always vote for who i think will be best for my country and if everyone thought like you then we would have noone in power then the countries would be a mess!! just think about that!

do u think that if i vote than i have the right to moan, it will make no sense whether i vote or i dont. tell me one thing what difference did ur vote make. did u solve unemployment, did ur vote eradicate the poor people, did ur vote stopped corruption. in fact ur vote has helped the politicians to fill their bank accounts. if u really want to prove ur right than do something directly-- help the orphans, start up a small business and help the poor. but dont vote

Well if your not voting your not trying to change the way your country is run. So therefore you cant complain about the way the country is run and actually I am opening an orphange My sister-in-law and I have bought some land in Ghana and we are using it to build an orphange so its great that you mention that!
