The term "Millionaire" sounds like the person we always want to be. A social class we want to achieve in lifetime. We always imagine that every millionaire have great deal amount of assets and cash on hand. They have everything that we all fancy about. But in reality, some research found that, Some millionaires just like us. They live frugally as much as we do everyday. They don't have fancy cars; they don't dine out that much. They dress casually with non - brand name style too. Wow, they really can save money by living that way too.

I think there are a lot more of these type of millionaires than anyone knows. Many are contributing to new and inventive ways to help us live green.

This is not about living green and saving the environment. I mean there are people who are very stingy and yet do not live green. For instance driving an old car does not mean you are saving gasoline, if the old car is a gas guzzler. I mean you have to get over that fixation that green is good, progress is bad.

Of course! How do you expect them to get rich if they spend recklessly? The way to get rich is always to spend less than you earn. It is the same for countries and for individuals.

Personally I have known many people who have quite a bit of money, etc. and I would consider living frugally who at the same time is quite frugal with things. They only will pay cash or do without, use coupons when they shop, only shop discount stores or clearance aisles and watch for Big sales as well. Personally I feel that is how they were able to get to where they are, so following their examples cannot be half bad at all.

Yes...there are some rich people out there who is not only filthy rich but very thrifty also. They are saving more money to add on their vast fortune. That I think is one more reason why they never go broke. They know how to save money because they realized that money is power.

I think a lot of them are frugal and may be one reason they have so much money. I know one man who as a very good job, makes great money but chooses to get all his food from dumpsters to keep it from going to waste. He has been doing this for years. I personally know people in high paying professions that are very frugal in some ways but when they choose to spend their money they do it for calculated reasons. Example: the oncologist who was at our school fundraiser and paid $2,700.00 in a bidding war for the cutest little mutt you have ever seen. They love the fact that they can buy when they want to, they are in control of their money...it does not control them.

Absolutely you are right my dear. To be a millionaire it is necessary to not spend money because sometimes when you spend money then your money can do down and if you spent too much you would not be able to say you were a millionaire any more as you may have less than that by spending too much. So best that the millionaire try to be very cheap with the money and not spend.

Living "just like us," is how some of them became millionaires. It doesn't work to spend every penny you have, then complain because you don't have any (generally speaking - not to anyone in particular). If you live beneath your means, you will find that gradually "your means" increases. I think that's the key they have discovered.

I think that to answer this question we should define again the word "millionaire". It sounds as extremelly wealthy, but now it seems that it´s not THAT hard to have somey money in goods. How much does a house cost? Ans cars? And appliances? I met a woman who felt she was poor and had a lot more than I did. I feel I´m rich: I´ll never go hungry, I´ll always have clothes, books, music. Most of my health problems will be taken care of in a decent way. And NO. I don´t have furs, great jewels and my car is a faithful 1997 Toyota(might sell it as an antique though). As for social classes, I´m at the top of the ladder culturally speaking, in the middle if we talk of money. Let´s spend recklessly a bit in dreaming!!! How about it?
