Yup! Harmony must really like me. I went out shopping this morning and when I got home, there were two birdlings at my front door. A neighbor said she saw Harmony with one of them, so that's how I know I was gifted by her and not one of the other neighborhood cats that like to hang around. I buried them in one of the front flower beds. A little while later, I took the compost out and saw another birdling by the back door. They were all obviously from the same nest, probably the one by my back door. Sigh. Oh, well, I can't fault her for her nature, now, can I?

Oh don't you just love the gifts cats leave for you. Mine it's always been mice and moles. Nice and neatly laid in front of the door :( And your right can't fault them for doing what is natural plus the fact they are trying to please YOU/US with their gift.

Harmony's brought me mice, too. This is the first birdlings, and it looks like she took out the whole family.

LOL - I have a picture someplace of my cat Indy last summer - she was laying in the birdbath like it was her personal bed but had a close eye on the nearby bird feeder :( Never got one that I know of though.

Yeah, harmory likes like you. But I think cat do those thing because for them they have a toy to play with. If they see small things moving they really get to it and try to get them. They are happy playing with those until its not moving anymore but some cats they catch them for a for their food.

With all the cats in the neighbourhood, you'd think there wouldn't be many birds around here, either, but there are. Squirrels, too.

My cat is indoor only, so she can show me affection by sleeping with me and asking to be pet many times during the day....she plays with toys I gave her....

I'd like to keep Harmony in all the time, too, but she has other ideas... Mostly, though, she stays in.

My husband found one on the edge of our pool when he was preparing to open it. Last year we saw the birdlings on the ground in our yard and did everything we could to keep people and animals away. When I told my husband about them he proceeded to make his way noisily outside, scaring the birds. Which was a good thing because it forced them to fly... and they did.

Good thing he didn't scare them so much that they had heart attacks...

awww--poor birdies I don't have to contend with my two kitties giving me presents as there are no presents for them to get for me..no birds, no mice....but Pyewacket shows his affection by sleeping on top of me (and he feels like a ten ton weight) I hope you gave Harmony an extra treat for her presents to you

Hey, if they start bringing you those kinds of presents, you have a serious problem!
