Old cat hates new kitten fix?

Hiya, I just got new kittens, and my older male cat (3 years) simply hates them. I've tried lots of things, in the past with other cats. But they never seem to work. Ignoring it makes little to no difference, and breaking up fights just seems to exacerbate the problem. I've tried holding Smokey (The older cat), and it doesn't help..
Any fixes that you know of?

That's a tough one. I just got a kitten around Christmas time and we already have a female cat that is about 3. They are starting to get along now, better. I think it just takes time. Here is an article: http://www.iams.com/iams/pet-health/kittens-and-older-pets.jsp
