This move filmized from Patrick Suskind is world-famous novel---Das Parfum-Die Geschteeines Murders. It is directed by Tom Tykwer .It tells the story of Jesn-Baptiste Grenouille, who was born in the stench of eighteenth century Paris. He develops a superior olfactory sense, which he uses to create the world is finest perfumes .Hid work, however, takes a dark turn as he tries to preserve scents in the search for the ultimate perfume . It is said that several world-class directors have long been planning to make thid film. But the difficulty of interpreting the flavor of the perfume stoped them from realizing the dream . And I also want to find out how the director can do that .But after seeing this film,A felt a little regreted. There is a cold and depressing atmophere throughout the film .Some scenes are too violent and breeding. The film is too much for me

I watched this film a year ago, and I totally agree with you. All the violence just for a certain scent? I is just too much, even the ending does not make any justice for the whole story line. I wouldn't recommend it to my friends. I don't know what the story is supposed to show us. I mean if horror movies are supposed to scare us, and comedy to make us laugh...I wonder what that movie wants us to feel after watching it? Besides, everybody who watched with me, also fel the same...it is just so depressing.
