what was or is your favorite pet and why

I have always prefered my dogs though I got a cat also who I think is the cutest one I have ever seen, but the dogs are fabulous, they know when I go and whenI come and loves me a lot so as their friend i also love them so much infact.

I do believe I prefer cats over dogs. However, I am more allergic to cats than dogs :D So I have no choice but to choose dogs over cats. I am interested what having a meercat would feel like though. I wonder if there are domesticated meercats. And I wonder if I am also allergic to those :) Thanks for the response on my discussion!

My first dog I ever had was a female pomeranian when I was 10 years old. I named her Pearl. I loved that dog till the end!! I now have a dog, 2 cats and 2 parakeets whom I love very much. But you never forget your first pet!! :(

kids should always have a chance to have a pet. but they should also be taught how to treat animals with care and love. i had a couple of puppies but my mom would always find some reason to get rid of them. i always wanted a cat but mom would not let me have one. when i got old enough tho, i got my first kitten, grew into a cat and it was the best favorite thing for 2 yrs, then my first hubby who was a mamas boy had him get rid of it. i never forgave him. one of our marriage breakers.
