Have you ever gone through a whole night not sleeping? Was it because you were working or watching tv? Why?

When i was young, i always stayed up late until 1 or 2am..I usually will spend my time do some reading on my favorite books. Sometimes, i will ended-up doing some research jobs online. Now, i will stayed up late if my son sleep late. Sometimes, he sleep at around 2am, when he got interest with his toy car..But, i prefer him to learn to sleep early. So, when he's ready to go nursery, he will used to wake-up early next time...

I know some people when they get read to ..fall asleep like they have been doused with sleeping pills; but when you do the actual reading; seems it works like caffeine. What kind of books do you like to read?

I will go for novels, love stories and even science fiction stories. Sometimes, i will even read women's magazines for fun. Besides gaining knowledge, you can also relax your mind..

Gah! I have stayed up all night before because of a project due for one of my classes. It wasn't that I left it to the last moment, it was because I had had several other things that needed to be done. I swore that I would never try that again. Yet I have on a few occasions because I don't manage my time as well as I should.

I remember burning the late night oils for classes.Sometimes late at night when no one else is awake to bother you, is the best time to study. What kind of projects would you be working on so late?

What were you watching on TV? Do you think TV kept your mind more alert and unable to sleep?

I have done this numerous times in my life and I don't like it at all. One time I remember back when I was about 20 I went out to a club on a Wednesday night. I had gotten up at 7:00am, went to work, came home took a shower, ate dinner and proceeded to the club got home at 5:00am in the morning. I didn't dare go to sleep in fear of not waking up to go to work. So I ate breakfast, took a shower and went off to work. Needless to say by 12:00 my eyes were closing. I've also done it when traveling. I get a bit nervous when I have to go on a plane so I can't sleep and I usually have a very early flight. So again I will be up over 24 hours straight.

Oh yes I have. Mostly I stay up late or not sleeping at all because of the workload. But sometimes when I'm reading a really good book, I can forget about time too :)

I generally stay up really late. My husband works third shift and I am stuck somewhere in between. I usually work around the house, surf the internet, and sometimes watch tv. On the weekends we usually try to sleep at night and be more active during the day. That makes the weekdays even harder to deal with.

I have stayed up 2 days straight more than once, and once I had been awake for three days. Most of the time when I stay up for 2 days straight, I have really bad sleeping patterns, and attempt to correct them. I usually spend my time gaming in the middle of the night with a few friends, and during the day, I do whatever I can to keep busy and awake. When I stayed up for three days, I do not know why. I could not sleep. It still strikes me as a mystery.

Gaming? I heard that that is the normal side effect for many "gamers" ..staying awake all night;) What type of games do you usually like to play?
