By now most of you might have seen the movie "Angels and Demons". Since the book was released long back, many of you would have read the book as well. So did you like the movie or the book? If you have read the book and also watched the movie, then which do you think is better - the movie or the book?

I've haven't read the book, but I went and saw the movie last week with a friend who had. I loved the movie, definitely have got to see it again in theatres. My friend, on the other hand, though that the movie was ok, but she was pretty upset at some of the changes that they made in relation to the book. Apperantly, there were relationships that they never made clear in the movie, along with some characters who were not included at all, and some scenes that played out differently in the movie than in the book. When she was describing some of these details to me later, however, I think that the directer had the right idea making the changes that he did. There are just some things that don't translate as easily from the written to the visual. I still plan on reading the book, because it does sound like it would be really good, but I loved the movie and will definitely be buying it on DVD.

I dont know whether i can participate in this discussion because i have just read the book and not yet watched the movie. I was excited to actually go for the movie last weekend but one of my friends spoiled the whole fun and told me that the movie is only as good as da vinchi code movie itself! Disappointing indeed :( Aenl and Demons is a wonderfully scripted and written book with loads of information piled on every page. As a reader you can absorb the material slowly - which means you can take your own time readin the book. But on the other hand, the content of the movies have to be taken in in just 2 hours!! The visual description of a place in a movie like this cannot be felt the way you feel it while reading. Probably the producer should think of producing a serial based on the book instead of overloading the movie goers. :)

The book was better in my opinion. The movie rushed things a bit and some of the book characters just disappeared... So , from what i remember of the book , some things about the plot were different.. The action scenes of the movie were ok , Ewan McGregor also did a good job in his role, but i think anyone who saw the movie and liked it , should definitely read the book for a more complete experience.

i haven't read the book but i've seen the movie few weeks ago. in my opinion, book is always better than a movie because lots of characters and scenes are being left-out in the movie due to the time alloted. nevertheless, the movie is still great with the right music at a certain scenes and its cinematography. i like this movie than the first sequel, Da vinci code.

I read the book when all the hype of The Da Vinci Code came out, which was about 4 years ago believe. When the movie came out, I only remember the ending but forgot about the book storyline. I am satisfied by the adaptation. It has fast plot, Ron Howard can build climax, and I feel the casts had chemistry unlike Da Vinci Code which made the exciting and controversial book became a really boring movie.
