It's too hot out...

Hey there! A friend of mine told me that last monday, May 25, was the hottest day of the year for Manila. The temperature was 36.5 degrees Celsius. I was in the office most of the day with the air-con at it's lowest temperature and highest fan setting, but I was still sweating while sitting in front of my computer. I know that it's hotter in other places around the world and we've probably experienced hotter temperatures in the past, but I think it's getting too hot already. I know we live in a tropical country but the heat in the past was bearable compared to the heat nowadays. A 5 minute walk outside at around lunch time, even in the shade will make you sweat really badly. I don't know if it's just me or if global warming is really getting way out of hand. What do you guys think about this weather? Is it just normal, Philippine summer heat or is it really hotter than usual?

It is hotter than usual man. And it'll be worse next year. I have a story that I'd like to share. I have been a very professional driver for four years now and I have never bumped anything. But then it hit me. A dove fell from the sky and right into my windshield, POW! Then it fell on the other side of the street where it was run over by other cars. The heat got to the bird. Then, on another incident, I saw smaller birds literally falling off from the sky to shake then die on the road. I think I must've seen it happen four times now. Very bad weather. Scary. It's nature warning us to change or suffer the consequences.

Wow! That's scary! Where were you driving when you saw the birds falling?

I saw them on different occasions and locations. It happened when I was driving in Bulacan, Ortigas Ave., C5, Marcos highway, and inside Valle Verde in Pasig. After the birds, what's next? Dogs? Cattles? HUMANS? Scary thought. Scary times indeed for mother nature's behavior.

It definitely is Global Warming. I wish people would open their eyes and do their part on helping Mother Nature stand up. Or else, we'll all fall down.:(

I also felt that last Monday, May 25. I wasn't able to sleep that night, I don't know why. I thought I would have a heart attack. Then I heard on the radio the next day that is the hottest day of the year.

Yes, it is really hotter now in our country. Before, I used to wear jacket inside the office for I can't bear the cold temperature due to air condition. But now, I no longer wear one. I believe global warming is already introducing himself to us.

Oh, really? I just thanked that I am from the province, it rain mostly here. Even yesterday, I thought there was a tropical storm since it rained after lunchtime, a very bad time because it was our barangays' fiesta celebration. How sad that mother nature is I think already reminding us to take good care of her.

Its not just you, even me I feel that its really hot these days. I think its just the summer heat what we are feeling right now and it will subside when the rainy days will come this coming June to September. We have experienced this kind of temperature beginning in summer of 2005 so basically its been a while now. I think the global warming also affects the environment that's why.

Yep! I agree with that. It's really getting hotter and hotter every year. My electric bill is rising high because even at night, we turn our aircon on until 3-4 A.M. dawn. And even it's raining, it's still hot. Last week my car's aircon evaporator got busted and I left at an autoshop to be fix. Guess how much I paid for a new evaporator? 9,000 pesos! Ouch! But I still need it cuz nothing beats the pain of the heat for this summer!

Yup temperature for the past few days has been very tormentingly hot. Just last weekend we just came from a beach resortfrom a company outing. Just arriving in Manila I was already sweating to the max. I could not bear the heat that the next day after I was already suffering from colds and cough because of that. Now I am recovering from it and hopefully the rains would come for us to cool a bit. I think it rain earlier this morning that is why the temperature got lower hopefully it stays that way because it just is not good for us if we are to bear more of these. I watched over discovery channel that five days of continous hot weather could trigger heat strokes for others who could not bear the heat.

Yeah,'m in the office too and I'm also sweating. I guess it's really too hot out. I'm kinda relieved I'm stuck in an office than resting at home like my sister, because I'm sure I'll be sweating buckets. It really is hotter these days than the years before. I have already had my hair cut too short (and it's not to keep up with the trends, mind you) because of the extreme heat.

it's Mother Nature's way of telling us,"respect and take care of me,else you'll die...of sweltering heat".I agree,it's very hot these past few days.I can't take a nap at noon, even with the electric fan blowing into my face.I usually leave our house for work before 8 AM.that time,I feel like it's already 12 noon because it's too hot already.whew!

Yes, It was way too hot last may 25, It came to a point that I don't want to move from were I was, because once I move I will get sweat, I find the heat of the sun was too scorching, even just the shade of sunlight was piercing to eyes and skin.. It's so sad that Global Warming really makes it's way to debilitate our lives..
