Do you find ways to beat the Traffic?

I beep the horn and tell them to get the heck up out of my way, if that doesn't work, I run them off the road.

My husband and i don't drive. We take the bus, and we try to only go out when the traffic is not too heavy. We don't like riding the bus in the late afternoon because it's often full of students, and occasionally the busses and other vehickles will get stuck in rush hour traffic.

Hi. At the place I am living right now, it is impossible to avoid the rush hours as all 24 hours here are rush hours. It is one of the busiest area of one of the most crowded city in the whole world. I try to be patient and listen some soft music while I am waiting for some way to go ahead.

Hi ya Marcia I hope all is well with you Well on our way down to my mum's house last Saturday we got caught up in traffic but there is nothing we could do. It is a part in the road where the two lanes join into one and everyone gets held up. There is no turning off to avoid the traffic so you have no choice but to drive at 5 miles per hour until the lane divides into 2 again! I never beep or get angry because there is no real point, you are stuck until the traffic moves again.

Whom you are asking this question from? The drivers or the pedestrians? As a pedestrian, I am a little patient in heavy traffic and a bit careless in low traffic. Generally in my town we don't have much traffic. As a driver, I am a little short on patience. I always try to win the race from others. Lucky for me that I don't ride fuel bikes. I am happy with my bicycle only!

I hate heavy traffic too. When possible I too will leave early to avoid it. I've also been know to take side streets instead of the highway for main routes. It may be a bit longer, but it sure beats sitting in traffic somewhere. I'm not a good 'sit and waiter'...lol.
