If you see molds such as shower curtains, bath items, tubs basins and. It must be clean up, because it is one of the source that cause attack. Dust mites that lives in sheed, blanket, pillows, mattresses, soft furniture, carpets and stuff toys, such as stuffed animals contribute to the onset of asthma. It is very important to wash bed sheets and blankets once a week, dry completely. Uses dust proof covers and pillows and mattresses vaccum carpets, rugs and furniture often. Wash and dry stuffed toys completely. Asthma can also be triggered by the smoke from the burening end of cigarette, pipe, or cigar or the smoke breathed out by a smoker. If an asthmatic patient take precaution , them the attack will be under control.

The most important thing for an asthmatic is to keep a journal of their "triggers" this is a great start but there are many many other "triggers" that need to be identified when you have asthma, and every person who has asthma MUST have at least a rescue inhaler with them at all times, some people are harder hit by things than others so figure out what your "serious triggers" are before you perhaps drive yourself crazy getting every speck of dust out each week when its actually pollen that triggers your asthma

Did you know that chocolates also triggered asthma in people who are prone to it? I generally have asthma attacks when there is a climate contrast or when it is too cold. Even ice creams at times trigger asthma! Dust and polution are two major and common factors as all of us know. People who over eat also complain about the asthma though it can be confused with shortness of breath. Any kind of allergen that irritates your wind pipe and bronchial tubes leaves it swollen which is why people have trouble breathing till the walls become thin. You are right willy, when a person identofies the allergen that triggers the asthma attack then he/she willbe able to control it effectively.
