Would you ticket more expensive at your home state or other state?

So, a friend of mine told me that if you get a traffic ticket from other state, the price will be cheaper, they usually give more leniency to non - residents to that particular state. On the other hand, if you are at your home state, they will charge your more, because you should know the local laws better. Is this a truth?

Absoulutely you are right my dear that these tickets are a nuisance. The best way to avoid these tickets is to take the bus then if the bus goes to fast only the bus driver will have to pay the ticket fine. I do not know if the ticket costs more in the other state as I usually buy a return ticket for my bus ride and I don't know if it makes any difference where the bus driver lives or not.

I don't know if this is true but I can say the cheapest traffic ticket I ever got was in another state. I got pulled over in on the IL/IN border doing 15 or 20 over the speed limit and my ticket was only $75. I've never gotten a traffic ticket in WI (where I live) under $100. I even made a comment to my friend that I understand why people in IL drive liek idiots not, they have cheap fines.
