hi mylotters, i am the person, some 4 years back doctor has suggested me to decrease quantity of food, reduce oil, salt and pepper, now mostly iam using very less tasted food, iam not compulsion of take of roti or rice, whatever available i will consume, if no other item is not available as side dish, i use onion pieces and garlic pieces, i have read some where in the news paper taking raw onions and garlic pieces is very very good for cholestral, todays my lunch is 8 bread slices with jam not anything extra, that is my food, i will not use butter or ghee or oil mostly. in my view if we decrease the taste, our health increase, if we increase taste simultaneously our health decrease

I guess you can say that in general. But there are other things that give flavor to food that aren't as unhealthy as salt and pepper and oil. You can grill things or bake them instead of fry them if you don't want a lot of oil. You can use herbs to season your food. You can add foods that are naturally salty to give your food more taste but reduce the amount of salt you put in. There are alternatives. I'm sure not consuming salt at all is dangerous too.

You're welcome. :) Be sure to consult your doctor first as some of the things I said might not be suitable for your diet. :)

Hi,i understand why your doctor don t let you use salt..but pepper...why?Any way, you can try to herbs, have a great taste and never doctor say that herbs are not good for health. There you can t find medicinal salt?Is not salt , but change the taste of food, sometimes help. Ask your doctor if you can use medicinal salt.
