why don't i get notifications when someone replies to my comment?

if i leave a comment for someone who responds to my discussion, and they reply to it, i dont get a notification. then, they think im rude for not replying if they've asked me something.
i have checked my profile, and all notifications are ticked.
do you get notified when people reply to your comments, or do you have to find out some other way?

See at your notification and set it if you want to notified.
I always have my notification email if other myLotter response to my topic discussion or comment to my response in other topic discussion. Its all work..no problem at all..

Hi Gemma!
Go to the top of the page towards the left to 'preferences'.
Then to 'notifiers'.
There you can choose which ones to set to 'on' and you will no longer be unaware of comments you receive

Hi,
I do have it set to receive emails when someone comments it, but it still doesn't work for some reason!
I guess I will just have to keep checking my comments myself.

Try unticking the boxes and hit 'update'
then go back and tick them all again and hit 'update' again...
it just might fix it - fingers crossed!

Hey Gemma your problem can be solved by going to "Preferences" and Then turning on the corresponding notification. Hope this helps

When it comes to the discussions I start I usually have to find out another way. Like you, I have all the notifications checked, but for some strange reason I don't get them when someone comments back to my discussions. So as of late I've been either going to my profile or "discussions I've started" to see who, if anyone, commented on the current discussions that are up on my page.
Strangely enough the same can be said when someone comments back to me from discussions that I have responded to. Only difference is sometimes I get them, sometimes I don't. The only reason I know that someone commented when I don't get the notification is because they had either given me best response and I see it that way or they responded immediately back to a comment that I made. With being on dial-up it takes forever for a page to load so by the time it does I can see that they commented back, if it was done so right away.

Hey Gemma! I usually do get the notifications, but not always!
There is sometimes a glitch in the mylot system so I don't
always know if I am getting them or not! I don't get notifys
from all my friends either! I only get notifys from some of
my friends when they start discussions! I have no idea how
the system works, but there a many inconsistencies! I have
given up trying to figure out how it works!

This is like: since you are not the responder to that discussion hence you will not get the notification. myLot only sends notification to the responder, if his/her response gets a comment or two!
You are not alone my friend. NO one gets a notification mail for comments on their own discussions. It sad but true!
