Every one of us is a grandchild and for many of us memories of the times spent with our grandparents are among the dearest images from our childhood. Grandparents have always been there for babysitting and taking care of the children and to provide those sneaky treats like biscuits in bed, when Mum and Dad aren't looking.are you this close to your grandparents?

All of my grandparents are gone now. I never met my grandfather on my mom's side, but I lived with my grandmother so I learned a lot about him. She passed away in 2007 about 6 months before my son was born. My grandmother on my dad's side passed away 2 months ago. I wasn't very close to her because I rarely went to see her.

i didn't able to see my grandmother too in my mom's side. she passed away earlier than i was born because of a serious illness.

yes i am. but when i started to grow up i only have my grandmother, the mother of my dad, who live with us. means we are so very close. and i love being pampered by her and i love having her around because we could always have nice treats and and secret rendevous with her. sow. lol! its nice to having her around and i miss her so much. but i know she is already in happy grounds and proud to see us grow up to be good children. thanks friend and good day! ...jhelai

yes i saw how close you are to your grandma. she was used to be fun to be with.she was also sweet.well, enough for the reminiscing.at least you've done your part of being the caring granddaughter to her.

I have wonderful memories of my grandparents, although they have all passed on. I still miss them even though it's been 17 - 20 years that they have been gone. But I do have all the great memories to share with my daughters. My daughters still have my parents, but they don't get to see them often since they live in different towns and states. But they too have great memories that have been made with their grandparents.

well, at least you still had the opportunity to bond with them. consider yourself lucky. not all people shared great times with their old folks.most of them took that chance for granted.

Yes, in my case, i am closer to my grandparents especially grandfather. He stand as my father in the absense of my real father. Accompany me in places i want to go. Supporting me in my hobbies and giving me emotional support. Left me some foods aunt gave him. Protect me from my mother's physical punishment when committing mistakes and faults.

i'm very close to my grandparents, my best childhood memories envolve them... even today, i'm 18 now, i talk to them weekly if not daily. they are great, they always love you and alwayds think you are right. my grandma always makes me my favourite dish and my grandpa stares at me whenever i say anything.
