This is a really good discussion because movies are really important when it comes to peoples lives because they are a good source of enjoyment when you are really bored or when you have nothing to do,and there is nothing like snuggling with the one you love to watch a good movie,I am sure that different people have different opinions when it comes to the Pirates of the Carribean movies and Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow,I am sure that some people think he is the perfect Jack Sparrow,while others probably wish someone else had been Jack Sparrow,and I can understand that different people have different opinions,and me personally I love the Pirates of the Carribean movies,and I think Johnny Depp was the perfect Jack Sparrow,I think the part was made with him in mind,because no one could pull it off the way he does,with the attitude,the comical skills,and the looks,and without Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow then the Pirates of the Carribean movies would not have been as popular and they would have been a washout in theater,have a great day,good luck with your life, and all of your mylotting goals,and Happy Posting.

I think it was definitely written with him in mind. I don't know if anyone else could play Captain Jack Sparrow better than him. He is an amazing actor and the movies wouldn't have been as popular if he wasn't in them.

I am not sure. But Johnny Depp made one hot Captain Sparrow! I love this actor. He can play any role in my opinion. He has a lot of talent.

I totally agree. The only role I did not like him in was Edward Scissorhands, but that is just my opinion. I have all three movies and only watch them for Jack Sparrow. :)

I dont think that it was written for him, but I would watch Johnny Depp in anything, he is just so good and easy on the eyes too. I did read somewhere that when he started to decide how to play captain jack, that he approached Kieth Richards to ask if he could use him as a basis and that Keith said yes but only if he could have a role in the movie. Then he turned up as Jacks dad in the third movie. Cool, huh?

I have to admit that it was cool that Keith Richards showed up in that third movie. Yes, I knew he saught out Keith for the character. But it still seems like the roles fits him really too good. :)

I'm not sure if they wrote it for him, but I do know he made the character his own. Johnny pretty much created the Captain Jack Sparrow character. He is brilliant!
