Do you all seperate colors before you wash and do you wash towels only with towels?

I usually only sepearate colours from whites, but towels definitely have to go on their own, otherwise the fluff gets onto the other clothes.

I have 7 different baskets around the house. I have 3 in my laundry room and 4 in our office. 1 - color towels; 2 - white towels; 3 - whites; 4 - my hubbys uniforms; 5 - jeans, 6 - dark colors & 7 - light colors/delicates. When the basket gets full I wash them. I find that washing jeans with tee-shirts makes them thin out easier or I'd just throw those in with them.

yup, gotta separate the colors before you wash your clothes, right? you wouldn't want your clothes to have colourful patches all over .

In doing laundry, I will always not mix the colored clothes with the white or clothes with lighter color such as yellow and light blue. This is to prevent the color from running off and stained those with light color. It happened before and I lost some of my favorite clothes. As for towels, I don't intentionally separate them but most of the time the towels will be washed with bed sheets, pillow sheets and blankets.

Particularly some coloured cotton clothes give away the colours and it gets mixed on light colour clothes. Hence I have been segregating the clothes before putting it into the washing machine.

I wash my hubby's work clothes by themself. Wash jeans with jeans, towels with towels, t-shirts with t-shirts and socks and underwears the same.

This is possibly the most banal discussion I have seen so far.

laundry - laundry
I used to separate them all the time. Not any more. Other than whites I toss it all in and wash. They come out just as clean and no runs. I put a cup of vinegar in the load, which also prevents running of colors.

Yes I do. I do whites, light colors, darks, and towels. Like Giftsandbagscom said there are always a lot of towels cause you use so many daily

I seperate darks from lights not nescessarliy white from colours. I always wash towels and bedding seperare as I wash them in hot water and they don't require as much detergent and I want to make sure it all rinses out.

It all goes in together. Nobody but Me washes MY clothes and I'll mix my whites with my colors when I need to have clean garments.. What is the fuss anyway when you work in contruction. it is all sand and grime. what do the fabrics care?? Hahaaaa,, oh my,, the life of a bluejean wearer. Just use lots of soap and dont spare the rinse cycle!! ;)
