I won a door prize in the 24-Hour Writer's Weekly spring short story contest. They sent me a copy of an eBook with tips for getting published. What author wouldn't like help in that area? I think it's a pretty good prize all in all. Anybody else here to the 24-hour contest?

I've never even heard of it, but I'm going to look it up right now! An ebook like that definitely sounds well worth it. It's always an area that break-out authors seem to need help in, myself included!

They offer cash prizes for the top three winners, and then all different kinds of ebooks for other winners or people who place. It's a pretty cool contest. Good luck if you do the summer one!

It's quite an achievement to win a prize at writing most especially if there is money attached to it. Cheers!!

Yeah, it would have been even cooler to have won one of the cash prizes, but anything is better than nothing.

Congrats to you! I've never entered one of those contests, I don't think I would do very good though.

You never know until you try. They give you a prompt to write from, so everyone starts at the same place, And, they have a set word limit.
