My favorite Stephen King book is The Eyes Of The Dragon. I like the way that it was different from all his other books. It's kind of like an adult fary tale. It's a fantasy type of book. I loved it so much that I've read it 4 times already.

I think my favourite is Pet Sematary because I am an animal lover and I always thought how our dogs can live with us forever. Louis Creed moves with his family in a new neighbourhood. I am an animal lover so this story really got to my attention. According to the story they try to bury the family cat and it comes back to life. Rather creepy but I think it is one of Stephen king's best novel.

Seeing all of these responses makes me realize I have not read anywhere near the number of Stephen King novels that are out there, and there are a bunch I need to check out!!!

I've not yet read The Mist, but I've watched it. Have you..? It's a good movie and at the end, it has a very dramatic ending. I wish that guy wouldn't do that.. too little too late..

my most favorite is hearts in atlantis. i have read it a thousand times. i just don't get it why the movie was not as good as the book. i think the best part of the book was the story about the college guys (stoke jones, ronnie, pete, etc). they should have chosen that to be part of the movie. i also like on writing, the stand, carrie, firestarter, and all the others. lol.

I actually haven't read any of those. Is Rose Madder, what Rose Red was based on? That mini series was great. I liked the shining and bag of bones. I tried to read Christine once and couldn't really get into it. Maybe I will have to try it again.

It's been awhile since I picked up a SK novel. But the last time I followed him closely was when the Green Mile came out. Because it was short and broken into segments it made the anticipation worth waiting as it was also a new concept in writing.

oh I love all of them, read so many of his but I think Cell and Key Dumas are my very favorite ones. Love his dragging me into his books and grabbing my interest right away so I stay up most of the night as I just cannot put it down.even my adult son said he looked at his cellphone a bit differently after reading Cell.He was the one who turned me on to 'Stephen Kings books.

Wow, learn something new everyday, I did not know "The Perfect Storm" was written by Stephen King...I was younger when it came out, didn't pay attention to authors and all that, could barely get the actors names down.

Definitely the Shawshank Redemption!!! Although it's really not the usual 'King suspense' of supernatural beings with UFOs being dug out or paintings coming to life, it was actually the most captivating and interesting book I have read by King. Must must read! And must watch too! :)

Stephen King is my favorite author and I have read most, if not all, of his books. What I like most about him is the way he referrences events and people from one book/story to another. As for my favorite, a few come to mind. Misery, The Stand and Stand By Me. There are only a couple that have disappointed me, which were The Tommyknockers and Cell. Stephen King is one of the few authors that I will purchase a book on his name alone.
