Well my mall is getting a face lift! Even though it ran into bankruptcy construction is still going on AND now their working on the Barnes and Nobles INSIDE of the mall right by the food court--Im ecstatic.
Previous stores have been the average store like Spencers, Hallmark, Aeropostale, Abrocrombie, Coach but I think the plans are to make it a little more upscale and adding stores like Bloomingdales, Saks and the likes. I can't really say what I think about it because only the finishing touches will tell.
What I would like to see is lots of GREEN, trees and smalls everywhere. They did just move in huge pots in the foodcourt but thats the only green so far. I do not know whats happening with the jewelers because every one of them, 4, have 'went out of business' even outside of the mall we've had a Jeweler store close (along with Best Buy, phew.) I just think hanging outside the stores and relaxing while kids play also part of the experience.
OHH--and I hope they have a indoor play yard like another mall I've seen in Jersey.
WHY don't more malls this I do not know but I will surely suggest it if they don't.
What do you prefer?

i think it will be nice to go to a mall or a markit and buy every thing you need under one roof but in my country it is very rare. in a few years i hope this will change.

can i ask what country or region you live?
I like the idea of having pharmacy stores in the mall but mine doesnt have one yet and their was a CVS in our other mall but it moved out but I like being able to get the discount prices there and personal care stuff from there in case i forgot it without having to pay 7 dollars for a lip balm.

I am not satisfied. The mall here sucks big time. It's only as big as your 7Eleven. Our city is pretty small and they government doesn't want Mall owners from another city to develop malls here. Only chinese businessmen here in the city are allowed and that's the reason why most of them are the same. What you find in a mall, you can find them on the other.

that does suck, sounds like where I grew up--swear in over 30+ years the mall is still the same ole mall, and it was a 30 min drive to get to because our town didnt actually have their own mall so it was over the state line

Yes I am, well I shop nearly everywhere so I don't have a preference over one to the other but I am used to one mall which I have been going very frequently and I appreciate it because there are a larger variety of choices there as well as many and many boutiques in which you can have a vast choice. So I prefer to go there more usually.

I love boutiques so much, they have plans to give the outside of the mall a 'Main Street' look where you can walk in to each store from the outside and I hope that includes a bunch of boutiques--you just don't get that stuff from the franchise stores
