I saw a lovely looking black candle holder in a catalog that a shop chain has in my area. I tried to get it from my two nearest shops but they had run out of them. Looking at a web site about shopping I noticed that another shop had some amazing looking candle holders and they were much cheaper. So I have ordered two of them. The ones I couldn't get would have cost £15 and the ones I am getting are costing me just £7. I am delighted and can't wait to get them. Have you ever wanted to buy something then seen and bought something even better? Have you ever noticed that two similar items have considerably different prices?

I have looked for some items on the internet and found significantly different prices for the exact same item at different web sites. Then again, I have gotten some really good deals on some real cool stuff on eBay too. I myself usually search and search until the last minute. I just hate to give up that extra dollar until I think I am really getting a good deal I guess. Have a great day!

Well I would have liked to written about getting an item like that. Unfortunately, last Friday, the reverse seemed to happen to me. Found a really lovely pair of blue flowery beach shorts (printed on a white material) in a fairly classy shop called "Next", later I looked in a cheaper chain store and found practically the same thing for slightly less than half the price... Dohhh! Usually seem to get a few bargains as well, especially when looking in the charity shops... there is a lot of dross, but sometime real gems too. Bought a pair of black, fly-button Levi jeans (practically new condition) in an RSPCA shop in Swansea, Wales whilst away on holiday once for £5 (about $7.50), more recently some camouflage trousers in a more local RSPCA shop for £6 ($9) made in a really durable thickness of material - though more suitable for colder weather. In the end, one just has to have the attitude of "win some, lose some", time is too short to do otherwise... if only I could live up to that all the time! yeah, time to be logging off the internet soon!!! ^_^

OH yes, and similar things happened to me before. Where I'm looking for something specific and then end up finding something else often cheaper, somewhere else. It actually happened with the expresso machine I bought last month, and boy am I happy I found it. The price was incredible and the results are super excellent. I ended up paying about $150 less than the lowest price I had seen so far.

Hello maximax. There are sometimes when I have the same case that I bought something cheaper of the same products. Take one of the cell phones that I bought months back. When I bought it in a shop, it was cheap. But it was much more expensive in another shop of exactly the same cell phone. I was glad that I bought a cheaper one with exactly the same brand and same type. But I am sorry to say that there was also a case when I bought a pair of shoe insoles at a much higher price, which could be bought cheaper in another place, not far away from the previous one. So I have made a conclusion that it is better not to buy a stuff before you compare with the prices of the same products.

Hi Maximax, That was a great buy and I have in fact a pair of black candle holders in my daughters bedroom where my next find is in the process of going up on the wall. I was looking for some wall paper for an accent wall for her and had been looking at a black based one as the other three walls are white with grafitti writing on them in magenta pink, black and silver which I have allowed and all her friends post comments. I saw a paper and was waiting until payday but it was £15 per roll so not cheap and last week I was going through ebay looking for something else and I came accross this black wallpaper with pink, silver and white grafitti printed on it, perfect and only £5.99 a roll so bought immediately. It is looking great just got to put last awkward drop up this afternoon when I get home from work. I couldn't have got a better match if I had had it especially made, :). Huggles. Ellie :D

Yes, this happened to me around Christmas time. I wanted a kombi money box with a surfboard on top for my son, and searched the internet to find one. Several sites had them, and I tried to order one - only to find they didn't take credit cards and wanted me to do a complicated bank transfer or send them a cheque, etc. I decided not to bother, but a week later when I was in town, one of the local chemists had a whole window full of kombi money boxes - and there were half a dozen designs to choose from! They were also quite a few dollars cheaper than the same ones had been online ... and I didn't have to pay postage! Bargain!

I was at a book fair and found copies of the same book title with 3 different pricing in different bins. I was really amazed then. The first book which I picked cost 10 bucks, the second book I saw cost 3 bucks and the third book I saw cost 5 bucks. Of course, I took the one with 3 bucks.

Nice that you found some candle holders you like better and even better still that they were less expensive. That is a real deal!
