I absolutely agree with this quote. I have made some really stupid decisions and have really gotten into trouble because of it. Recently i was riding my motorbike at night and i suddenly felt like i wanted to know how fast my bike can go. Just when i reached 120kmph a bus came opposite to me. I almost lost my life but barely managed to swerve away from the bus. You can see how lucky i was since i'm still alive

Is true and just another variant of Jesus' teachings: everybody creates his hells himself. The more we follow Jesus' love rule "666" in his New Revelation to Jakob Lorber (1800-1864), the less we suffer from ourselves: Love ourselves (=6 units), love our neighbours & relatives (=60 units), love God (=600 units). And "love" in this sense simply is to treat the others like we would want to be treated by them. All the 10 commandments of the Old Testament, all the ethic rules in any philosophy, all good democratic principles, all the UN Charta etc. etc. etc. easily follow from this love rule. The better we practice it, the less harm we do ourselves.

Well .... original Bible has been gathered through thousands of years and you might get the translation of a translation of a translation in the cascade from Hebrew to Greek to Latin to English. There is kind of a shortcut with only one translational step on www.franky1.com which is a modern dictation of Jesus himself to an Austrian musician, Jakob Lorber (1800-1864), and he gives us very good background information and historical comments. It is named the New Revelation and the musician received it through his "Inner Word". He wrote it by hand on more than 12.000 pages. I consider it the Lord's message adjusted to our modern time and it was given in German language.

What harm can a man do to inflict self injury to himself? I am not too sure about this but I see most men ends a lonely life when he has misuse his youth on vices.

You don't have to imflict injury upon yourself to self destruct, your actions can lead to self destruction, and things that men created, can lead to ones destruction, at the fault of ones wrong actions.

I do agree with this quote. I think that we are harder on ourselves than anyone else can ever be. Nice discussion.
