Can you help me determine what fish this is??

I forgot to hit the upload button on the picture the first time. My friend caught this fish the other day and we have no clue what kind of fish it is. It kind of looks like a cat fish but I highly doubt it. So, can anyone help me determine what kind of fish this might be?

That is a sea robin and those barbels are not barbels but rather modified fins that they use for walking with.

It was caught in Northern New Hampshire. That's why I found it hard to believe, because I have caught a salt water cat fish but never from fresh water.

Yep, that is a catfish. Poor thing, I say put him back in the water and let him live with his family and friends.

From photos I have looked at it does look similar to a catfish. Apparently there are over 2000 species of catfish. I have heard that catfish are suppose to have no teeth and no scales, so you could check for these. I am not a fish expert so cannot really say what is is exactly. I hope you find out what it is.
