Have you looked at how much you spend eating out versus buying the food

okay, so over the summer I started looking at what was happening to my money I was getting and the food stamps I was receiving. You know you still have to manage no matter where it comes from. I done good managing 300 a month on food between me and my mom and my daughter. of course I also got help with Wic and Cash assistance as well from my state. WIC helps women who don't have enough income to still get the basics like milk, juice, eggs, cheese and peanut butter or cereal. When you're have a baby they help you as well to get the nurtients the baby needs when it's born. It was a life savor for me cause I've been out of work for two years. Anyways, the Wic, put it about 360 a month on groceries. I was budgetting to where I was only spending about 80 - 100 a week of my food stamps and getting my wic once at the beginning of the month and again in the middle of the month. I found it was less confusing than getting it all at once. So, what i'm asking is , how do you budget when all of a sudden you have one less person you have to feed. he was my boyfriend and he moved in, but we didn't know how long it was going to last so we didn't put him on our plan we have. anyways, I was doing good before then when he moved in it was like I was spending twice that much every week. He's been gone since february and I'm still having a hard time going back to what i was doing before. does any one have any ideas that would help me budget better? I'm currently trying that michael thurmond plan where you eat according to your body type and what they say you can have. I'm just wondering if someone has an idea about budgetting in those factors or if there is someone else that is doing the plan as well.

I think you put many posts into one, crysontherocks! First of all, welcome to mylot!
Now, one thing is budget ( choose as an interest "frugal living" and you´ll get lots of ideas) and another one is diet or even having more people at the house or eating out.
It is well known that eating out is more expensive than cooking from scratch. And at home you can suit your meals to your body needs to slim down without fasting.
Avoid fried food, snacks other than raw celery or carrot. Eat fruis instead of deserts. DO NOT but icecream. You can eat the food everyone eatrs but in smaller portions and skipping mayo, fries and soft drinks (tap water with lemon juice is fine). Once a week, choose the day to splurge: that way you will not have cravings because you´ll be looking forward to it.
I put on weight after I quit smoking. I have 20 pounds more but started last month with this and now I shed 3 pounds. My aim is being myself in 8 months. I´ll treat me the with a new outfit. I´m looking forward to that too and it helps.
Take care

yeah I understand what you're saying about the posts. sometimes it's hard for me to post a lot with my computer and it tries saving it for some reason and I can't get everything in or it seems like it isn't supposed to fit. lol. I'm losing weight just having a hard time budgeting now that i'm down one person than what i was used to having. I had galbladder surgery about two weeks so i'm still having to watch a little of what eat. I've been doing better with it though because I've not had to take any pain pills in two days and I've not even had to take anything for upset stomach or nausea. So, maybe as time goes I can get back in the groove of things. I can already tell a big difference with the surgery and the doctor stated that my galbladder was inflamed and that i had a lot of scar tissue. so it was a good thing we made the right call on taking it out. I had tests after tests done and they couldn't get it to show up that it wasn't working right. anyways, thanks for the advice. and I hope you dieting or as I should say -- life style change stays with you. you are much better off doing a life style change than a diet because the life style change will guide you through a process that you can stick with for the rest of your life. hope all goes well. if we lose contact. and i find you again let me know it's going. I'd love to hear your progress
