Should i put my EID(employer ID) on a website

I join this website called "eHow" and want to verify if this site is really legit. Because in their payment section the form need a EID to be able to get payment. My question is this site is safe to put your EID or SSS number(alternative number) cause this two numbers are personal and need to protect it against those bad elements. Anyone please give me some info on eHow.
