Subliminal Messages In TV Shows And Movies

Hubby and I are sitting here watching Medium. Well neither oof us is really looking at the screen, we're both looking at our computer screens, but we are happily enjoying the show in the background. Something we both picked up on right away is that Mrs. DuBois' cellphone is a Nokia. We can tell, from her chosen ringtone, a ringer known only to Nokia phones. I've had Nokia phones before, and I know a Nokia ringtone when I hear one. I remember the same thing in the movie "Something's Gotta Give" when Harry had a Nokia phone in his picket, and it rang. "I don't know if you realize this, but that's a subliminal advertizement for Nokia." my husband said, out of the blue. I hadn't really thought of that. I asked him what other subliminal things he noticed, and he said that he'd seen a lot of brand names in TV shows (a girl carrying a coke can, for example). I hadn't really thought of that, since I'm legally blind, and never really paid attention to what is on the screen, but a Nokia RING TONE is different, because it's something I would HEAR instead of something I woudln't be able to see. Anyone else notice the amount of subliminal advertizing in TV and movies? What have you noticed?
