Which came first? Did the anti-feminist movement come about because feminists took advantage of their movement, only to opress more traditional people, or did feminism come about because the anti-feminists, and traditional people in the world opressed them?
Who is offending, and who is defending?
I personally feel that women have been opressed since the beginning of time, and the feminist movement was born out of the evolution of the human mind, that women and men are of equal value, and that genders don't need roles in society, but if women and men choose to take on jobs that were (are) more traditional to their gender, that's fine, as long as this isn't forced upon the whole of society. We have choices. However, a lot of anti-feminists out there seem to think we're out of our minds, that men and women are infact, different, and there should be defined roles to reflect these differences. These two groups seem to be constantly at odds, throwing insults at eachother, any chance they get. Which group, IN YOUR OPINION, has the right idea?
I personally think the feminists are onto something, but I am not the only person in the world with an opinion. Let's hear from others.

The feminist movement came first. But there was a backlash and now the anti feminists are getting to be more vocal. I know that I was raised by a feminist and I am an anti feminists. why? Because some feminists made it seem if you did Want to be a housewife , you were being oppressed or you were being brainwashed. and at the time man bashing was popular. I never understood what a guy did to deserve to be treated like that. In fact to this day, if a man bashing commerical comes on, I change the channel. But if there were more feminists like you, I could be neutral. I don't think I will ever be a true feminist. The closest I get is being pro choice but even then it is so men don't have tp pay for a child they never wanted.I am hopeless.

i don't know.i don't necessarily endorse either side.
i consider myself "pro-me".
if i want to do something,i will, whether it's traditionally a 'female' job or not.
hell,i did demolition for awhile.i was the only female on that crew.
i can remember getting grief being hired as a restaurant dishwasher,as if it's
rocket science.oh please,it's not like we don't do dishes at home.
the hobart machines really aren't that different.
basically,if you're capable of doing a job,you should be able to get it.
nobody complains about male nurses, and i've seen plenty.they probably wouldn't have enough if they weren't open minded about it.it's funny how sometimes necessity will open doors, like WW2 "rosies".

women have been exploited since time began study your history, the feminist movement came about because of that, but then the anti feminist movement surfaced because many did not like to give up the status quo, no one wants to loose what they already have to give it to somebody who never had it before.

I have to say that men and women are indeed equal but because of the way that HIStory has been, it is taking forever for many to realize that women actually do have brains that are equal to men's. Since it has always been that men have been in control and women stayed home and kept the house and had babies and raised them, it's taking time for it to evolve that women can do more than that, and even some women need convinced of it. One good step in the right direction.........we did have a woman run for president, and she gave them a run for their money!! I think that even with our equality, we are indeed, different, though, but in other ways. We all have the capability to do it all, but the way that is chosen isn't always the same.
