Well, I've read a lot of different books about World War II since it is my favorite history subject. I would say my favorite book about war would have to be GHOST SOLDIERS. It's about the rescue of allied POW's from a Japanese prison camp during World War II and it's the story that is depicted in the movie THE GREAT RAID. However, the movie didn't do it justice. My favorite war movie is not a movie but a mini-series...BAND OF BROTHERS. I enjoy watching movies and reading books about war especially those that America has been involved in because the American serviceman is my hero, not because they kill but because they have courage that I can't even imagine and because they risk and sometimes give their lives to protect my freedoms. War is horror but sometimes it is a necessary evil. I would love to see a world without war but as long as evil exists in the world, that will never happen.
